My Ranger lives on Bria, and we've just had a lovely spawn of tat wooly. Singleshotting bantha, harvesting merrily, I got a nice stack aside just working the Mospic Plains area for wild spawns. Sure, I know theres masses of bantha up by the krayt graveyards, but why travel if it's on your doorstep, right?
'k, over on TC I'm slowly (ever so slowly with the one month hiatus) working one of my chars up to Ranger. Hey, nice spawn of tat herb meat AND a doc willing to pay coin... I'm headed to Tat before the message has had time to fade from my screen. Looking forward to a nice days hunting I trail out to the krayt 'yard, stopping to clone in Skystone on the way. (not the nearest point, but I had business there).
About 500m before the mouth of the valley I stop, mask, remount, move ahead a little and bingo, I got wall to wall reds. And more scout xp than you can shake a dead kreetle at. Was gleefully scrolling up the list of xp I'd been awarded when I spotted two big numbers. Uh Oh.
Looks around and there's a Giant Canyon Krayt lumbering over the ridge of the hill. I hit the thrttle and get out of its sight. Bang. I'm off my bike. Another two spawned right where I stopped driving. 30s later I'm back in SS, recovering my bike and muttering under my breath.
THREE times I got into the valley, managed to kill about a dozen bantha (dunes, good weapon xp but sucky harvests. 22 units? Gah).
THREE times I got flattened by parachuting krayts.
It was BRILLIANT!!!
I have taken group after group into the valley on Live and never see so much as a krayt dropping other than by accident. But I've got a list of folk yay long that'll pay good coin if I find one and give them a call. Here I am on a server where all that money stuff matters a LOT less, with a toon who cna't shoot to save himself, and I have got more big beasties around my corpse than I've seen in the whole time I was on Live!!
Heehee, who needs spaceships, eh? (OK, other than my inspace disco/lurve pad withthe Rangers Do It In The Dirt bumper sticker)

Im just trying to think of what a group of parachuting Krayts looks like. I mean that would be one heck of a large aircraft
