1 i would like to See a better tracking sytem and better UI inter face for the tracking sytem atm it feels bulkie having this little Block in the senter of the screen and having to scroll only tho about 10 or 12 things in the area when i know I KNOW cuase i see more with in a 100meter area that jsut arnt on track why this happens i dont know Somthing with the creature loading in to the area? also why is it enraged Kimos almost never seem to show up on track same with some krayts.... we are pretty under used
ok
2 When are we going to be able to get a tracking way point sytem?
ya know you click on the name of the creature npc or player
thier should be an one the fly Tracking waypoint sytem.
that way i am not pretting my track area like 40 billon times to find some Durni ahhh 100cpu Durni hide /Twitch
3. how come the traping tree just has Mods no new Traps?

You may wish to consult the threads linked in the Geniuses at work thread stickied at the top of the page for the extensive and well thought out ideas that have been considered over the last year
. Special attention should be paid to the Outdoorsmen Proposal
As for adding waypoints into the tracking system, I think there is a fairly significant majority that do not want them added as it wouldnt feel very 'Rangerish'

How about a yellow line on the ground (just like the /find xxx command in town)?
You area-track, then select one target, and voila...a yellow line appears on the ground that you alone can see. You follow the line, and it takes you to a point (accurate or not? ...based on a hidden roll). Most likely the creature moved around a little in the time it took you to get there, so you area track again at that point, until eventually (hopefully) you find your quarry.

If anything I'd prefer to see it work like the radiation sensor from the village.
You're getting closer.
You're moving away.
If anything...

Urgh, no. I'd prefer the current direction/distance to a line on the ground. Would just seem way too easy.

Gee fellas...
If you can't use areatrack like normal people, how about a freaking option where a giant hand - we shall call her Mommy - comes down out of the sky and leads you to your objective. Would that be better??
Waypoints have no place in areatrack. Our targets are mobile, or did you miss that fact along with spelling class?? Pretty tough to have a waypoint to a moving target.
Area track works 90% of the time, and if you know how to make it work better, as a lot of Rangers have figured out, it works really well 95% of the time.
I have said it before, will say it again - if you can't areatrack by reading the compass and guesstimating distance, go be a BH. They get a droid to lead them to their targets, mainly as they are too stupid to find them without them.
"Yellow line" -- that has to be the dumbest thing suggested in the past year.

laffs at the mo-rons - and at the same time feels a sense of dread, as these are the newest crop of "rangers"??

You've brought up a lot of the problems bug a lot of Rangers. The area track system is totally dependent on the spawning system. Meaning that a lair of what you are looking for can pop almost right on top of you after you've areatracked and found nothing. I find this embarrasing when hunting with or for people.
As already stated there are some great ideas in the Geniuses at Work thread on Ranger terminals and tracking. Its always a good idea ti add your ideas to an existing thread, especially a stickied one, so that they don't get lost. The more people contribute, the better we can show how much people want stuff like an improved tracking system!
Traps. Well I think its safe to say most of us find the Ranger traps frustrating. (grin) However there are some new traps in the trapping tree that you should be able to make (like the flash bomb)... scout traps are just more useful in my opinion.
Take care and safe hunting.
