Being a Ranger isn't at all fun anymore. I was a MRM/MR. I did not like most of the changes the CU brought along. It made going solo very difficult. To me, being a Ranger, is playing solo mostly. So, goodbye Ranger. Maybe if they make it somewhat of a recognized combat profession I would return. Unitl then I have picked up anothe ranged profession to go along with MRM.

Dev's: Can we get the SEA mods that do not work replaced with mods that do? Also, while you're at it, make sure to update the loot table by deleting mods for SEA's that are no longer applicable. Thanks.

Have you tried p-darts? As a lvl67, I can usually solo any creature by rooting them with my darts and just firing away. As a rifleman/ranger, I can't see how you can't level pretty much any creature ingame. Either way, I'm sorry to see a fellow ranger retire. Good luck bro.

I can solo just about anything, including canyon krayts. Ancients are a bit beyond me at this point. Maybe with the right foods. . . P-darts are a rangers best friend, and you have to mix up your shots. "Spamming" really doesn't work anymore, which is not a bad thing.

At last count I can and have soloed Krayts and rancors. All I need is 2 pdarts and the time. And that's with MBH, no root shots. And no cover or other sneaky stuff.

Saying you can't solo means you are not using tactics.

Ranger/rifle got nerfed big time.

Now you can't even get very far into a POI ... or take out Black Sun ... and you have to kill everything one by one spamming pdarts and pressing the same 2 buttons over and over agian staring at the toolbar add nauseum instead of just hitting a macro. (no more strafeshot2).

For a ranger who wants to go get a certian ammount of hide, its usually go kill 1000 is part of the job and the skill isnt the killing its the efficiency. Best to just drop Ranger and pick up Bounty Hunter and pistols 0004 .. then you shoot fast andhave 2 area effect shots to cycle and can take down the new 4x as density lairs about 10x as fast as any Ranger/Rifle, plus go kill Black Sun, storm POI's, etc.

Sorry to see you go, and sad to see that the reason is play style. If you're reallydropping Ranger because you don't feel that you can play, hunt, adventure solo any longer then try staying on for a bit.

Many of us, my self included, feel that we have adapted perfectly well to the CU and that Ranger is (dare I say it?), improved after the CU with many many promising things to come.

Try asking a few questions and maybe getting a few tips and see if it doesn't workout after all.
