Thread: Agitator Motors: Are they still dropping?

OK, so I'm one step away from my creature recycler. I've personally gone out and collected everything plus just about enough for a second go.
All I'm left with is Agitator Motors.
So... as I wait for the quest rewards to get 100% fixed on Kashyyyk I've been dedicating my play time to killing Canyon Corsair Captains at the POI on Lok. A friend of mine looted her Agitator Motor here so I figured it was a good place to work.
Now... I'm about 15hrs in and a few hundred Captains down.
Not one single Agitator Motor yet though.
Has anyone looted one of these recently? if so were there any special "techniques" that you tried?

I'm not sure if they are, but..
It seems crafting the recycler is bugged again
If you get a motor, I would hold on to it until they say it's fixed.
I'd heard that they were bugged again post CU and people were losing components when crafting them. I also noticed it in the "known issues" section of the ctrl-H holocron last night. It gives a little more detail on the problem.
Might be a good time to try to find components cheaply on a planet wide vendor search from the bazaar in the meantime.

I can't speak to whether or not they are dropping at this point, I do feel your pain in trying to get the motor. I spent I don't know how many hours killing coursairs, my routine for weeks was log in, check bazar for motor, buff, take the long journey to the POI, (almost get there and get jumped by multiple kimo's, clone, luckily this only happened a few times), . . . rinse and repeat at next login. I did get 13 force crystals and numerous other worthless loot drops. Finally found one on the bazar and paid way to much for it on last day before CU. After CU went to a buddy and asked him to make it for me, didn't realize it would be bugged and lost the components. At that moment I was not a happy camper. The CSR he contacted was kind enough to return all the lost components to him, so if the same happens to you submit a ticket. Right now I have a bag full of components sitting in my house waiting for the bug to get fixed, in the meanwhile the junk resources are starting to pile up.

yes they are still dropping, albiet very very rarely. A guy on Ahazi goes afk killing the captain every night. Since the CU he has only looted 2 of them. If you do manage to get one there is a work around for the assembly. When you start assembling it you will get an "Internal Server Error" at some point. DO NO CLOSE THE CRAFTING TOOL. Click on the ok button and you should be back to the tool. type /nextCraftingStage 3x in a row, then type /createPrototype 2x. It should say that the schematic is used up and the crafting tool will count down from 180. I believe this also happens when building the recycler itself so use the same format. I built mine like a week ago and it's the best thing I've got in the game lol
