Thread: Why don't Rangers get Sneak?

I was looking through the Ranger profession tree, I'm not one yet, and I was surprised to see that Rangers don't get the sneak command.


Rifle Specialist gets it, why not Rangers? It seems to fit this profession more.

The most likely reason is that to assume that all Rangers use ranged weapons is a bad idea. There are many melee-oriented Rangers, especially Swordsmen, who could give a wompa rat's behind about Sneak since they have to get face to face anyway. It DOES fit the Rifleman however since they are a ranged weapon profession. If you want to be a Ranger that can sneak, just be a Ranger/Rifleman.
