Thread: Ragner Camoflague
Can i get an honest answer from a Ranger about this? I'm a master scout so I have +50 camo skill right now. I'm really interested in going ranger and trying to figure out which tree to go up first. My question is, do you really notice the + on camo you get or are you getting discovered the same amount as before. The difference between explore 4 and master which was 15 points has been unnoticable to me. So does it get better with ranger? Are you able to walk extremely close to aggro critters or still have to stay far awya?

Well... I haven't noticed a huge benefit either... although as a Ranger, I have been able to stand next to Reds for quite a while providing that yellows aren't nearby (this helps when your harvester is smack dab in the middle of a Rogue Baraset Nest)
The more I use Camoflauge, the more I like it however... I definitely feel a little safer exploring near reds with it on, however when it fails... HOLY MOSES... have that Phecnacine Trap ready.... I had a Bobcat nearly bite my head off due to a stupid gubber sniffing me out....
If you're going to be hunting creatures... I'd more likely take the Hunting line first though... the extra harvesting and creature to hit bonuses look more attractive to me than more camo and more TN

As a Bothan Master Scout, my Masksent has been fairly reliable. More then half the time, It now ends due to duration and not because of beening spotted. I am curious to see how long it lasts as I go up in skill.

I'm a Bothan Ranger with Wayfaring 2, so my total camoflage modifer is +80 . I can honestly say that makescent gets broken once per hour at this point, which is a noticeable improvement from Master Scout. I do a lot of travelling as I have harvestors that are out in the middle of nowhere, 8-10 kilometres from Coronet. As such, I truly live and die by the effectiveness of makescent and, believe me, it works!
