Ranger Archive

The time has come for the Rangers of Starsider to come together as a unit. I think we need to form a guild of sorts for Rangers of all levels, and Scouts. This should be a loose structure that cares not about the politics of those who dwell in the cities. The Ranger is the class of the individual, interacting with the wilds. This should be a guild where politics are not discussed and where ones beliefs though respected should not be challenged by another Ranger, nor should they be preached. As this is a class of freedom this should not be a problem. Any PA is welcome any race creed or faction. This should not be a group to dictate rule, but a group joined together by a common love of exploring and hunting.

The goal of a Collective Rangerbody should be to provide training for fellow Rangers and Scouts. This should be done automatically, and without charge. We should want to strengthen our skills. I have had many a good Ranger train me for free, and though I tip them it is never required. I in return have trained any I find that require help in their education.

Rangers in their travels have a great chance to come upon key locations and remote sites, these should be waypointed and made available to the other Rangers.

As far as economics go the Rangers need to get together as a group and dictate the prices of our gathered hides, bones, and meat, not have these prices dictated to us. Sure there are many people who can get their own, but not with the speed and quanity of the Rangers. Most crafters do not want to spend teh time to gather. As it stands the crafting classes pay a pittance for hides and materials but then charge a fortune for a finished product. If the Rangers come together we too can afford to make a living with our class skills and not by running demeaning missions. We should be able to determine what we sell for.If we are able to do this we should be able to spread this knowledge and rate to the corners of the galaxy, and hopefully make enough doing it we can all fly in our own ship toany planet we want.
