Thread: Frontiering III and IV.....for the love of God!
Wow, 60,000 survival for III and 80,000 for IV? Looks like I'll have the rest of the master rangerboxes filled up soon, but the survival exp is gonna be painful.
I know it goes up quicker with other folks in the camp healing and such. And sampling in the camp seems to help a little. I've tried taking up medical skills and healing my action damage as I sampled to see if that would help when I was camping by myself but it seems to have no effect. I've lit up tons of fireworks while camping to try to get people to wander over to my camp.I play at odd hours of the day, and unfortunatelymy friends are also trying to get survival exp as well so it's always a little battle as to who gets to put up the camp. Most of the time I wind up camping solo.
Does anyone else have any pointers, encouragement, gimmicks, anything to make these 2 boxes any less painful? At this rate I'll be camping afk for a month straight!
i know exactly what you mean,im about halfway through frontiering 2 at the moment.
i was reading a good thing to do go to a place where alot of people hunt, like the tusken fort or
something and set up camp, some people are sure to stop by.im going to try this myself.

At least when Im working on scouting and trapping exp, I'm running around and being active.
I can only craft so many traps, food and other itemsand sample so many resources before I'm bored silly. And that's only 20 minutes into the camp.
This is one situation where being in a PA would be a great help....just force your PA buddies to sit in the camp with you. Least that way I don't have to suffer alone.
Go to your local Cantina, find some down-and-out entertainers; Hire 4-5 of them to come out to your campsite and perform there. Give em like 2500/hour each. They get a decent spot o' cash (tips are pretty unreliable, I've played an entertainer), they still get to work on their skills, and you can pump out camp xp pretty fast.
I feel your pain, I'm not even a Ranger yet because I have to top off Survival IV. And because its taken awhile I already have the scouting experience I need not only for Novice ranger, but also for one skill box once I learn novice lol.
Its been taking awhile because I don't grind. I play for fun and usually go out with my partner to go hunting and stuff. She's a CH so doesn't bother with camps anymore, so I just make em as we need em. Based on my casual non-grinding experience with camps I can safely say that they need to be adjusted in respect to the other scout/ranger experience types, or has often been suggested, make foraging give like experience.
