That's because we establish dealings with specific crafters while we are still Scouts, and stick with 'em through thick and thin.
Why can't you post on your galaxy trade forums? Just because you don't have results doesn't mean you can post here, as it is off topic even if you did not have results with some of the methods we provide. Maybe it's because a lot of Rangers on your galaxy gave up Ranger, and so few are taking the profession up? Or, perhaps it's the terms of employment. Anyways, don't blame us because you can't find a Ranger, and this thread will get locked or deleted regardless of what you say or what we say, as it is off-topic.
on kett i think there are mabye 10 rangers left at the most and only 2 or 3 of those are masters.
Circe' Pojia I believe it is being re-done. But until that time, the suggestions to use the forums that are designed for trade and contacting people in-game are the best options. The list may be out of date, but it's still better than nothing, yes? By the way, you can find people around you who are ranger by using the ctrl+p and setting ranger as a filter. That's a good way to find them as well.
I wrote that "canned response" and I wrote it because many people like you decided that a profession forum was the proper place to conduct trade. You are, like they were,wrong. You don't hire Jedi in the Jedi forum- you discuss Jedi issues. The same holds true here- we use this forum to discuss things important to us. Your needs are not important to Rangers on all forums. Use the trade forums, or find people in-game. Many servers have the channel RIN (Rangers Information Network). Join that chatroom and you'll likely find a Ranger.
Of course, there aren't many Master Rangers around, and many don't take on certain jobs. I for one will never track for any amount of money. It is mind-numbingly boring and often yields no results, and I have better things to do with my time than answer 173 "have you found it yet" tells. So sometimes, even if you find us, you won't find anyone willing to do that type of thing. If you're looking for resources-- trade forums is really the best place.

Hiya, and welcome to the Ranger forum. You look like you haven't been here before, so I'm gonna give you a crash course on our customs. First of all, we tend to sticky important threads at the top of our board. There's one there called "This is not a trade forum" that might catch your interest. Also up top is the "Ranger for hire" list which, when properly utilized, allows people in need of help to find someone on there server, without having to post on the Ranger board and arouse the ire of everyone there. it's simpler for both parties if they meet in-game rather than wasting space on the forum.
Finally, you have a search option available on the forums. We Rangers tend to like to use that as a way to track down similar threads. For example if you had done a search, you would've found the other million or so posts like this.
So please, try to understand that we're not trying to be mean, or elitist-- it's just that we get asked this question every day and a little leg work on your part would save you a whole lot of time and us a whole lot of frustration. Thanks for stopping by again
