so, when they delete a thread, do all of your posts in said thread get removed from your post count?...can the posts that no longer exist count against you?..

i mean, if i post a "1000 POSTS!! [OT]" thread... and they come in and delete it, am i back at 999 posts?...

if so, man i wish i could do that... i'd go back and selectively delete people's old threads that nobody would miss, just to toy with you record keepers heads...

I do know they can adhust post counts, and that in some cases, when a post disappaears, your post count drops...

If a post is purely a spam post to raise
postcount (or if you are replying to every thread just to get your post
count up) those are deleted (and other serious actions can be taken as
this is not allowed) but if we remove a thread for being off topic or
abusive those go to a special forum where we keep them archived for
reference (and history) of accounts past activity.

Makes you wonder what kind of super-secret stuff they've got stashed in that secret forum we can't see.

Rangers, start ForumAreaTracking and find that forum

and GarVa, thanks for clearing up the whole Deleted/Removed posts and how they effect post count

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

I want to report GarVa for using a huge colourful graphic inthe signature block and making the rest of us feel sooooooo inferior..

we keep this up and we might all end up there real soon... but... one more question first, please GarVa...

it occured to me that you guys probably organized the deleted (or rather, moved) posts in a forum similar to the way this one is layed out... that got me to thinking, are their any professions who's deleted forum outnumber the posts of another profession's active forum?... for example, has Jedi had more posts deleted than Marksman has ever had?...

it would actually be a neat statistic to see - percentage of posts deleted by forum... i mean, i know it wouldn't tell a whole lot, as most of the posts deleted are probably not representative of that profession (like the "Hiring a Ranger" threads, for example)... but it would still be kinda interesting...
