Thread: I think that BH and Ranger should work closer together. Agree?

Sorry, won't work with Imperial BHs, period.

There is an unnamed guild that was mainly BH, scum. Won't deal with em, talk to em, train em, help em, and God forbid they should be in my grid square and trying to take a mark, as I will attempt to mess with them anyway I can. I wish rescue was not nerfed.

As to Rebel BHs, mainly I ignore them. I don't mess with them, but I tend to stay away from all but two or three, as most are about as smart as a box of rocks. I don't explain how areatrack works anymore, that got old quick.

Work together, no. Not with a class that in general wants to be "UBER l33t doodz" and mooch off the rest of the players in the game, skill wise.

Final word, if they are such great trackers and investigators, how was it the Devs had to label the snitches so they could find em??? Did someone say...flashlite, both hands and instructions??

Congratulations aglanon, you've managed to ferret out the dumbest, whiniest, most childish Ranger on the boards. At least we know now.

Whoa...calm down dude. This was meant to be constructive. Let me make one thing clear. The BH's who pursue bounties through the investigation tree are not generally the ones that I think you are talking about. Let me guess, jerks with Expert BH above their head? These people are PvP junkies who dabble in BH for pistol mods. The BH's who pursue the investigation line are the ones I'm talking about here. Not wanna be l33t d00ds.

As for leeching off of other professions skills, I don't really know how to respond to that. BH's don't really have enough skill points to dabble in much, so I don't how we could be leeching off of anything.

I find it disheartening that the reputation of the BH is so tainted by the jerkwads that dabble for the Expert BH title (not that I'm against dabbling, but these guys make us look bad) and leave a bad taste in everyones mouth about our profession.

I'm trying to find constructive ways to benefit each other, not just us. I had hoped that I would receive a bit of adult conversation and thought. Initially I did, but your response is just bitter ranting.

To everyone else, thanks for the polite responses, and know that unlike him, I won't despise your entire profession just becauseof onejerkwad.

P.S. I personally think (even though I'm rebel right now) that BH's shouldn't be allowed to join a GCW faction, and alot of others do too.

Firstly I agree withthe oringinal post. Any BH that wants my help can simply ask (nicely) especially if i get paid. This is one of the reasons I'm working the Investigation & LLC trees in BH and nearly at Master Ranger. The combination just gives a cool game experience... well for me anyway.

JBMat it sounds like youhave alot of issues you have to work through. The negative attitude aint helping anyone. And as a matter of interest did you ever try BH missions before the "labelling"? You had to find a single, unmarked informant in a whole city. It just wasn't fun running around huge cities like Coronet & Theed talking to every NPC to find an informant.

I was thinking of it more along the lines of pay. Like taking a 20k mission for half the payout. Or getting paid to track a mark. Also from a content perspective I think it helps. Things like that. I mean we have to have revenue and something to do at Master right?

I'll make this quick.

  • You guys should be the ones that are able to inform us of the location of player bounties (and maybe even NPC bounties as an option when we can't find the mark with our droids)

  • I think that you should be able to make traps that work on humans or NPC's that we can't make but CAN use, it would give you guys an income stream and give us some survival skill. (maybe the same with camaflauge?)

  • Perhaps there could be shared income for a BH mission that is taken together with a Ranger? Like if a BH teams up with a Ranger and goes to the BH Mission terminal, then there are higher level missions with more complexity. You guys do the tracking we do the killing?

I'm sure there are more ways that our professions can compliment one another. Perhaps when we get a new correspondent, your correspondent and our new one could join forces to make good changes like these happen. Just a thought. /sign if you want.

I tried to writea post about how dabbling could make it so BH wouldn't have to buy stuff from us, but I ended figuring out, that you can do that already. I guessI have no issues with this, but I think it needs to work, just not sure what.
