Thread: Seperating aggro creatures...
I'm sure all of you have seen the message " It seems you are being stalked by a (insert creature name here)" flash across your screen before. You can use this to seperate agressive creatures from their pack mates let me explain.
#1 apply maskscent and check your surrounding's for other aggro creature's/ npc's. If your real experienced ranger you will know what creature's will also assist you against your target, I.E. your target's natural enemies.
#2 move to within about 70 meter's of your target and drop maskscent then wait about 10 second's to help with the refresh timer of maskscent. Be patient, your a hunter....you have to be patient.
#3 start closing in on your target slowly until you get the message " It seems you are being stalked by a ( creature name here)" then start to move backward's. Keep the critter at no less then 40 meters away and continue to lure him away from his pack mates.
#4 when your target is the only red dot left on your radar(hopefully you have that set to 64m) reapply maskscent, the creature should not attack at this point and ignore you.
#5 throw your favorite trap or bleed shot to pull it to you or your group, what ever your situtation is then rinse and repeat.
You will notice my sig says creature handler(its so much fun taming animals) but I still love playing yo-yo with creatures using /warningshot, just as much of a rush as taming in my opinion.
You should post this tactic in the following thread so it doesn't get lost:
