Hi all! Im a TKA novice, on the Eclipse server I plan to go all the way to master - But don't know what else of proffesions i should take!

Currently im a novice CH - But i think about giving it up when i need skill points! Im also almost novice pistoleer, smuggler and carbineer and two boxes away from master marksman!

Meh...

I don't know... I miss some non combat! I got a bit dissapointed in CH when i learned that one of the most basic ways of getting xp was killing other creatures/NPCs.... :/

Now im looking for something that can keep be intrested! Something where i can sell allot of stuff and create allot of stuff! Then i started thinking of Ranger!

Is their allot of stuff to sell like resources? I also heard that rangers are good at finding rare items, like kryat tissues and stuff like that, they can sell? And i also heard they could create allot of camps and traps - Anything else?

Anyone thinks the Ranger proffesion is suited for me if i wishs to get some resources, and sell them! Somehow maybe create something and sell it!

Any comment?

The traps and camps we make are only usable by other Scouts and Rangers, so there is about no market there for these items, as if you can use it, you can probably make it as well. I have not heard of anyone making a fortune selling traps and camps.

The resources we get are from the creatures we kill. We harvest bones/hides/meat and then sell them. Any rare items we find are on dead creatures. You can make a decent profit on this, especially if you have found resources with high numbers and you have it in large quantities - which means you killed a boatload of creatures and harvested them to get it.

Seems to me that you don't like killing creatures, which is pretty much our profession in a nutshell.

Hope this helped.

Problem for you is to get the organics you are thinking of selling you have to kill critters. Even though we are not a combat class we require combat to advance in it. If, as you say, you are looking for an alternative to combat for exp... I dno't think this is it. While we CAN gain exp in some ways w/o combat, you will have to eventually. The main way to gain in Ranger is much like Scout: kill and harvest. Perhaps you could have others kill for you and use the group harvest feature... but that would seem silly ti me

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

I will answer the question directly. The only Ranger skills you need to harvest organic resources the best are the Tracking skills. They add harvesting bonuses and let you Area Track, which is an awesome ability that searches the nearby area for any and all creatures/players/NPC's. If you really want to harvest organics, this is the tree to get. Should take you about 2-3 days max. Just go to Dathomir. I personally got about 80k Scouting XP in about 3 hours there today.
