unfortunately, there are things that won't be rolled back. among them, my memories from this weekend... and the bad taste in my mouth.

despite the messages ingame, the warnings, the forum posts, a dev/QA presence, and more... people are still ATTACKING devs and QA. how much sense does THAT make?

I turned one of my chars Imp big-time this weekend, to go after bases, another was already fairly well along in Rebel. Kept well out of the way of passing fules but still ended up travelling back to town the fast way. Even went over to Tombstone to see what all the buzz about PvP is, and gave up after about 5 minutes as it was just mindless mayhem 100 times worse than I'd seen on Bria. (And remember, there's no jedi out there this weekend either, so it's not 'them', lol). About the oly good thing I got from the experience was a realisation that PvP in it's current incarnation is a mess.

I kept 'ken as pistoleer/scout/CH and used him to check out the different spawns from a non-uber perspective, actually only got round to putting him in tin and getting buffed just before the server shut down tonight. Leaving Bestine I was scanned by one of thise HUGE ST's. Tef'd as Reb, so I /burst out of the main area, smack into one of his smaller buddies. As there were only 4 minutes left on the clock I decided to slug it out and, much to my surprise, dropped them both.

Next thing, I've got some muppet following me into the little tavern opposite the museum wher eI'd gone in to log off, demanding that I jule him. I refused but, being tef'd and declared overt by the trooper, he was able to open fire on me. Dunno how it would have ended but the server went off. Pretty much summed up the weekend, pvp-wise, for me. Oh, and don't get me started on the 'hero' that was defending the dev bases we were meant to take down.

Anyway, with the slew of obscene names, execrable behaviour, total ignorance and lack of respect it's hard to see how any Dev crew could ever justify doing that again. Having said THAT, I saw Tiggs, Seani and various CSR/QA folk around the worst areas and at least they'll be able to give an informed opinion on the sort of grief the azure blobs cause. Can't believe that some muppet, after trying to target a QA then decided to total her bike. Mindless. And then has the nerve to go to the boards and ask wen his ban will be lifted, lol.

OK, last para of what's turned into a right rant. I'm glad they had the sense to start transporting the PvPers off to Tombstone, but am disgusted that they ended up giving them frogs, a couple of At-St's and effectively rolling over and giving them what they were whining and screaming for. It's a bad precedent to set even if they had little option this time round.

Anyway, another publish is going out to TC, so we've prolly got another day of it, at least. We all going hunting krayt once it's over? To relax?

Owen, could we get a list of players who are in the guild and other like minded folks so we could have an up to date friends list there? Since we all are going to need some training and groups are always more fun for that anyway?

Volunteers for people on the Friends list would be best. Instead of listing everyone who gets on there to test and all.

And bah! I just went to TC to give all of my stuff and cash to my fiancee's char on that account so I could rebuild Kairaene but the frogs are still there. Guess they havent done the wipe yet. :/ Oh well. I will get in there at some point.

Yeah, I am just gonna wait til rollback before I jump in there as yet. Besides.. EQ2 is calling me a wee bit.. hehe.

MMkay. Just build a character the other day by name of Kaitan Faesha. Novice Scout and brawler. Working out of Skystone where the trainers are exactly where I need em and mission terminals right in front of the Ranger Lodge. Nicely decorated lodge btw. Pretty nice.

So, if anyone pops in from time to time add me to your list and we can group up for some missions/training.

Created a TC toon earlier, looking to make it a mirror of my Ranger on Live. Would be great to hook up with you guys for some hunting or whatever. I plan on playing on TC a lot.
