Thread: Pub 20 = No Ranger Love
They wont. Accept that fact. Enjoy the Ranger you have now and believe in Dev love for Ranger about as much as you belive in the Easter Bunny, or Happy the Water Sprite who lives in the Bingle Bangle bush down near the river's edge.
You can also replace the word "Ranger" with any other profession other than Jedi or BH, IMO.

Tak..
I haven't seen anything in the forums saying the devs are doing a good job with Ranger.
However, I see 90% of people wanting to give them "positive" constructive feedback. And if your feedback doesn't fit into that mold, then we get this reverse logic treatment of how negativity only pushes the devs further away from us or that if we get attention it will only be negative nerf atttention. How much further away can we possibly push the devs??? They already give us ZERO attention.
The fact is, we do ALOT of idea sharing here. For 6 months I've seen basically alot of positive constructive feedback, good ideas, wishful thinking, and congenialthreads. And in spite of the couple of positive points that have been noted in this thread, by in large we get 1) no feedback from the devs 2) no attention on every publish. Ok, so we aren't the only profession getting the screw job. That doesn't make it any more right.
I could have SWORN that I saw one of the correspondents hint to the fact that all the traps were going to be addressed in this publish. Including Adhesive Mesh. That did not happen. I should have seen this $%!@ sandwich coming from a mile away. Oh wait, I did. I agree that P-Dart needed to be fixed. But, they needed to fix adhesive mesh with the same publish.
I support new Dell Computers for the Devs. Maybe they are working on old 486 DX 100s? hmmmm, that must be it.
Listen, I hear you brother. Let me fill you in on what I've learned in my two years of lurking this forum (and it's pretty much the same thing that has been said by others). There are not enough rangers to "properly" motivate the devs. We could be the most obnoxious group of dev railing players, or we can continue to present ourselves in a civil and intelligent manner. Either way, it isn't going to make much difference. Until "Episode VII: Ranger Boogaloo" comes out, we are at the mercy of Bounty Hunters and Jedi. The real decision is how we as a community want to present ourselves and the environment in which we want to interact.
It is your right to complain about the job the devs are doing, but the only people it will impact the most are your fellow rangers, not the devs. My philosphy on posting in here is this: Try to come up with alternatives to the current problems in the hopes that at some point in th development cycle, the devs will be able to consider them. Try to have fun.
I know this is frustrating and feels helpless, but unless you can convince the entire population of SWG to tell the devs to stop workingonme and start working on rangers, nothing is going to change.
