Hehe. First to get a report in from GRM II!!!
How can I put it...
... it was ruddy brilliant!
BIG thanks to Calc for being head honcho, to Obato (sp?) for masses of heals and to everyone who was there for making it such a fun hunt.
I'll be keeping that wee bothan, especially as he's now well on the way to Critter Handler and pistoleer. I'll be bringing him dwn off Lok tho, my eyes are still smarting from the colour scheme up there!
Just realised that I took no screenies this time, was too busy blatting away at birds, snakes, dragons and those demented pirates.
(and you know what, I still never got to see a gorax, but I don't care! Next year!)

/cheer!
That was a blast guys!! I had a great time, even sans gorax. It was nice meeting the new additions and the ones I had seen before face-to-face again. It was exciting to already see some novice rangers there!
Thank you sooo much Calc for organizing, and Obata for keeping us alive.
I died a lot lol. Thank you too to the other members of -WE- who tanked for us and helped try to spawn the elusive gorax. We will get him some day!!!
I cant wait to see the video!

I apologize for not being there. I arrived late (6pm Eastern time) because I had work and everyone had already left =(
But I want to say thanks to everyone who thought of, helped organize, participated in, or even thought about this meet-up. I told people on Wanderhome a whole bunch of Rangers were getting together from all the servers. People replied what a great idea this was and how cool it would be to do something like that. I just find it awesome that we as a community would do that. How many other proffessions can claim that? I know entertainers can (Cantina Crawl) but I doubt there are very many. It seems to be restricted to Role-playing proffessions, really and I just love that we are a group of people who, for the most part, know each other only through the short posts we leave (or in some cases, the excessively long posts we leave) yet we come together and have fun, just for the sake of playing.
That's what games are about...especially MMORPG's. They're made to play to have fun and so many people lose sight of just interacting with others. I get to hang out with people I like in real life, and it's great that I can do it online too. I have never met any of you in person, and despite age, background, gender, and occupational differences, I feel I could get along with any of you in real life.
I may not play this game forever, but as long as most of you are still on the boards posting,I'll be here reading and replying.
Thank all of you so much for making a game that's about having fun, actually fun. Thank you for welcoming me into your forum and making me a part of something that actually stands for goodness and niceness and everything decent.
I may not always be the most tactful person. I may be rude, crude and lewd at times. But the times when I have been out of line and mean to people, I want to thank people here for making me feel guilty during those times. Most forums its not that way. Even when I've been out of line, I've never been insulted back, for the most part. Only softly admonished and people saying "boy this is getting out of hand". No pointing fingers, no "you suxors". Just a group of people who lead by example and make me feel like I can make a point without making an ass out of myself.
So, in short, thank you, Rangers.

Sorry about that, I made RIN like I do on Eclipse, force of habit. I could not get the forums to work so I did that and told Calc. Also, had to make a newbie avatar on the flys and all my macros and stuff were messed up.

Phen, my Irish Bothan Ranger bud!!!1 We missed you and your drunken self. /sniff
You all ranger rock kreetle. That GRM was a blast. I actually got to hang with Calc and a few others, Phen, the night before doing some missions. But the actual GRM was a total blast and I had a ton of fun. It would have been total chaos if that was a pick up type group that large. But the rangers pulled it off, and not to my surprise.
I think the rangers should do this every few months. It's good for our community, and well, a bunch of fun, no matter what level you are.
Thanks, Calc for inviting us to your server to wreck havoc.

Thanks to all for making this a cracking weekend, i have been getting a bit jaded with the game of late, i think i've been out in the wilds alone for too long. With RoB reforming and the promise of more Ranger meets, my passion for the game is reignited.
Thanks again, looking forward to the video

P.S Biggs the squall is doing fine but he's gonna need quite a few wash downs to get rid of the stench from those rivers of crud we where dragged through! Who was leading? Why did the big lizard take all those 'new' rookie scouts up the steepest hills he could find? I think he was doing it out of spite!

Hey guys, that was alot of fun. Thanks Calc for organizing and thanks for everyone who made it to Wanderhome. I don't think I used /areatrack as much as I did yesterday. Too bad a Gorax never spawned but the Kimos were great. This was the first time that I have seen more than one HTFB set up at the same time. Seeing them and all the other camps was cool. Make sure Biggs comes to the next meet, he should be the Ranger mascot.

So here is my official wrap up...
Thanks to all who came with to be with us. I counted at least 25 Rangers (I am not positive since I use my claws and only have per hand, so it is easy to lose track). It was a great turn out and lots of fun was had by all! While we never did find a Gorax, we were blessed with a great Kimogila spawn.
Thank you to those who helped out my guild by providing us with the avian meat they harvested. On the Ranger hunt, we collected 7k total, which allowed us to amass a stockpile of 100K+ avain meat from this spawn.
I would also like to thank my guild mates who helped us by running advanced recon by looking for avain spawns and trying to stir up Gorax spawns. Kudos for your patience guys!
Of course, a ton of thanks go out to Doctor Obata for his (too) many rezzes and many, many, many heals administered. Also, thnk you for providing Stim B's to all those with Novice Medic.
I really couldn't pull off these hunts without my guild!
I hope things turned out well for you video, Rohm. I am really looking forward to seeing it when you are finished.
My final thought is, there are far too many Bothans out there....sheesh! Check my sig for a very special announcement.

I must say I had quite a bit of fun myself, but I had to leave for work before you guys found that Kimo ![]()
Oh, and the character's name was Saegrin, I actually didn't use the name generator for it.
My thanks to Calc, who is awesome, and Obata, who was the pinnacle of what a CM/Doc should be.
Had a great time ![]()

Just wanted to echo the comments about how much fun the Ranger Meet was! I made a newbie scout a couple of days before (actually, novice scout, artisan, entertainer, brawler, marksman and medic)
and even with my limited fighting skills it was still a ton of fun. I think I harvested about 700 avian meat just with a 2-1-2-0 scout, and most of that skill was trained during the hunt.
I've never seen so many camps put up at once. There was lots of action and lots of great ranger humor (and hunting songs! Although I forget who was singing).
Anyway, I had a great time and I'll definitely make it to the next one wherever it might be. Let's do it more often.. I'd be happy to host one on Kauri.

Was it just me, or was having a detachment of bantha mounted cavalry just incredibly cool?
Gave me some ideas for running my own guild hunts...
Calc, I hope your guildmates enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did and pleaselet them know how much we appreciated their help. And my own thanks to Obata for the many heals. (I was the short rodian who was slowly killing himself with his carbine all afternoon)
Great meeting you all in game. Looking forward to the next one.
