There are lots of things to take into account here. Not everyone posting on the forums comes to their profession boards. Different professions attract different types of people who are more or less likely to come to their profession forum. But it wouldn't surprise me if just multiplying by 4 gave a decent guess. Although 300 Rangers seems a bit high. As far as statistics go, I would recommend just claiming that x number of Rangers responded to a post asking who considers themself a Ranger within n days. The Devs can get the actual numbers from the database if they really want to know. Just use this as an indication. As far as Jedi are concerned, I know more of them than I do Rangers. And I'm on Eclipse (with the highest number of counted Rangers).

I took a look at the Antarian Ranger website, because I knew that Ahazi number seems low, and it showed 12 active members of the AR guild on Ahazi, as of early March. You have to be at least a novice ranger to join.....so I guess they just don't visit the official forums. I also saw 2 master rangers on eclipse today I had never seen before (could be hologrinders but after reading their bio's I don't think so). So even though the numbers shows the breakdown of those who post and visit here...it still leaves many out it seems.

While I was training up the ranger tree I only saw one or two rangers, butwhen I hit 4-2-4-4 I started seeing about2-3 rangers at every starport I went to...it was kinda unnerving. I trained 3 different rangers today. Kettemoor is backwards from all the rest of the servers.. We've got more rangers than anything else, the lowest prices for meat, the highest prices for buffs....it doesn't make since. 35cpu for the best meat around, 10k-13k for buffs...and they all think camo is awesome.

Make it two Rangers on Kauri apparently. I'm not master, but I'm getting there with the little playing time I have. I need to get my Camping and Trapping trees filled and I'll get there. The biggest problem is there are no Rangers around when I need to get trained. Nothing is more frustrating than having the xp, but not having anyone to train you. I may have to resort to the NPC trainers, even though I don't want to spend cash on the skills....
