Since you mentioned it, they've just put /conceal back into game on the Test Center. I'm anxious to see how this pans out.

A camp should NEVER disband because you left it for too long, that is a poor design.

I camp A LOT, sometimes simply to benefit others passing by. Isometimes set one up near my harvestors so I can check them. But I have to get to my harvestor, pay maintenance, add power and clean the hopper all in under 2 minutes so my camp doesnt collapse. That is rediculous...

Sometimes I just want to visit a neighboring camp. I remember the first time I saw a guy set up a field base, I wanted to run down the hill to check it out but I couldnt or MY camp would disband.

Sometimes when you get a lot of people grinding camps together you may want to visit other peoples camps to say high, but, you cant leave for too long.

Also, even just sitting around my new high tech field base, it auto disbands after about an hour or hour and a half even while occupied. (I haven't had them long enough to study the auto disband times yet)

I am against auto disbands on the account for the resources that you can lose if you leave your camp for freakin 2 minutes. I feel like a useless prisoner in my own camp. As useful as one of the lawn chairs. "Sorry I can't come out and play the game because my camp will collapse if I leave too long" BS

Camps should never auto disband due to combat. To the person who fears an exploit, once you initiate combat from within the camp ANY creature can enter it to attack you, you are now penetrable. The healing during combat argument is also a minimal one. The duration of a fight vs the amount of camp healing you will sustain is a mere fraction of what one stim pack will do for you during a round.

Camps should only auto disband depending on the level of your camping experience, beginning with a5 minute absence with minimum camping XP to DAYS with a Master Rangers level of XP. With a max of 2 camps. And just like missions the camps would go to your data pad and you could remotely destroy them.

They could add a timer to tell us "Your camp will auto disband in 60 seconds" with 10 second updates.

BTW they should shelter us from the rain, ruins immersion.

TROPHIES! We need an ability that will let us harvest things like heads, horns, claws, or whole corpses that we can stuff and decorate our houses with.

Bah, You're a Ranger, what use do you have for a house? Just waisted overhead if you ask me...

But we could SELL them to those silly city-dwellers who do like houses for some reason...

I was referring to the previous complaints which seem to be focused on how many experimentation points we get. Our one experimentation point is plenty since, succeed or fail, it doesn't do anything.

Then I requested that maybe we could get some useful experimentation. One point or a million, makes no difference until there are stats that could be adjusted.

Many Rangers have come up with some real good ideas here. Here is my take on some them.

1. Burst RunTimer: Reduce the interval.

2. Flat Terrian Speed: I totally agree that Rangers should have a faster all terrian speed than any other class. After all we are supposed to be ranging around and scouting. The PvP issue is a problem, so just limit the speed to non battle. If battle is entered byyou attacking or being attackedthen the speed reduces to normal.

3. Trophies: Yep, what a cool idea.

4. Master Ranger High Quality Field Base: lasts for up to 3 days. takes 1k metal and 1k Polymer. Does not disband under battle.

Some great ideas here from the Ranger community. Here is my take on them.

1. Trophies: What a cool idea!! Mountable on walls etc.

2. Burst Run Interval: Yep reduce this as others have stated.

3. Ranger Speed: Rangers should have faster terrain speed in all types of terrain. This would make us useful, combined with our upcoming tracking skill to scout for a group or raid. To avoid PvP and PvE problems, have "Ranger Speed" only work while not in battle, attacking or being attacked.

4. Master Ranger High Quality Field Base: This is a groups or raids short term base. Lasts for 2 or 3 days. Does not disband in battle but can be destroyed.Has all the features of HT Field base but is much more. Have it use 1k metal, 1k Polymer, 1k Bone and 1k Hide. Must be 2k distant from city or dungeon etc.

Add on modules: More modules add to longevity of camp. Up to 5 days

a. Master Droid Engineer to add Control Module to allow others to add modules. (?) Or to allow automated defences to work (Or work better)

b. Master Commando to add Laser Turret(s), Foxholes and other defences.

c.MasterCreature Handlers to add Creature Pens to hold critters. (Not a CH, so not sure this makes sense)

d. Master Entertainer can add a Cantina Tent.

e. Master Medic can add a MASH Tent which boosts healing.

f. Master Architect can add Observation Tower and Sniper Tower.

g. Master Bounty Hunter can add: Insert your idea here.

etc. You get the idea.

5. Ranger Home Base: To be used as a Rangers home. Must be build with a house equivalent of bones, hides, metal and polymer and must be made by a Architect. (Yes, thats what I said) Then the Ranger can deploy it where ever a house can be deployed and will last a week and consume maintenance credits. It must be deployed 5k from any city and a good distance from any player house. Then the Ranger can disband it and redeploy it somewhere else. This is to remind us we are Rangers not squatters. (Rangers consider anyone who lives in a house a squatter and those who live in the city as, well...just insane.) The Ranger Home Base has storage space like a droid does. Except it should work. Trophies mountable etc.

5. On all Ranger camps let us go inside the tents.

6. On Field Bases and above allow Rangers to hang their Trophies and have the Trophies pop back to inventory when the camp is disbanded. (Since no "real"Ranger will own a house. A Rangers home is what is beneath their feet.)

7. I consider Jase to be a Ranger above all else, which lead me to the idea of a step beyond Master Ranger.

This actually applies to all professions to distinguish between a Ranger/Rifleman, Rifleman/Ranger, Ranger/CH etc.

You selectwhat you consider to be your primaryprofession, (again this applies to all professions) and you can train to be an Elite Ranger, Elite Creature Handler etc. Then after the required XP and App points you become and get the title Elite XXXX. This would be the pinacle of your primary chosen profession and separate you from the"dablers". Of course their would be some goodies for each profession.

1k metal and 1k polymer, etc. for camps is an expensive idea. Personally I dont like the idea of placing a camp in one spot for 5 days, because I don't hunt at static spawns that much and increasing the cost of the camp is counter productive to my style of camping. If you want static camps for days then make it an optional camp that you could choose to build other than HTFB (or just place a small house, then at least you could heal BF).

A field BASE camp should be exactly that, a base. One that you can leave and come back to like in RL when we setup a camp then we go hunt for the day and come back to our camp. It should not be a prison. Also, it should protect us from the rain.

I'm not sure I want to run faster because when I'm with others I have to wait at top of hill for them anyways. I would like to be able to 'scout ahead' and report back. Perhaps this could be a radar enhancement or a reduction in the burst run timer at higher levels so I can quickly run a few hundred meters ahead, check it out and zip back and recover quicker than the average Joe.

Those would make me a happy camper ).

Personally, I cannot see the practicality of a 3 day base camp. If it had a cloning center, that would justify huge resource costs.
