But I wear hotpants! Admittedly a black pair to go to bed in.. but if I give those up I have to go to bed in a nasty white/grey pair

Get a pair of short! And burn thoughts horrible things before it is to late.
Pocketed Shorts can be quite comfortable. And they can also take BE mods too. So find a Tailor, like Teero on Lowca**, who refuses to make h--tpants, and get them to hook you up with some nice shorts.

Ranger in Hiding (currently playing through professions) here with a Dancer Alt - Never worn hot pants, never even worn "shorts". The Dancer toon AKA Der Grosse Funky! draws the line at anything more revealing than a gold infiltration suit and white snow boots.

And the Entertainers and Tailors featured there aren't even Corrs, some aren't even wielding the power of that which is HAWT, but only the slightly lesser power of the Mandoviol. ph33r the power of the non-CL professions!

Well that video is great and all, but it's about PvP. I wouldn't even deign to send a Ranger into battle against you until you could at least kill a durni, or fight off Oreet's stench. Trust me, it's an entitiy unto itself. Maybe then, I'll send a novice Ranger up against you in hand-to-hand combat.
and forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Mandoviol nerfed so you can't wield instruments in combat?
