Thread: /TRACK

A long time ago, the Devs said the /track command was going to be implemented. Although, from what I recall, their version was that you select the creature you want to track and it lets you track that specific creature, with no limits on distance. I don't remember it sounding like it would spawn that creature, just let you track one. I could be wrong, it was way back when it was mentioned. Either way I would be happy. Nice job.

Here is the /track skill as described by Holocron. I believe this is what you were mentioning...

/track - Higher up the Tracking tree, the Ranger will earn the /track command. The /track command will let the Ranger specify a specific creature he wants to find. Hunting for a Veermok? If you are in a region where Veermok live, you can /track for one. Tracking a creature will lead the player on a small mission to find a creature in the area (or in the case of a critical success or failure...an unexpected surprise). Whereas scanarea checks for already existing mobs in the area, /track can be used even if a Veermok lair (or whatever creature you want to find) isn't nearby.

The description is fairly vague and I think we took the highlighted statement to mean that /track could spawn a critter.

DISCLAIMER: This quoted text comes for a post which is now null and void. We only use that that quoted test to build our new ideas for the /track command. Please don't start any 'the devs said we were getting this' arguments.

I didn't have enough time to look thru your tracking post (will do so later as I am very interested to see all in-depth) ... However ....

Something I would like to see impemented for Ranger Tracking in a future update is an increase in the radius of Rangers tracking ability ... why? Because I have found that others in my group can set their radius map - see yellow or reds dots and ride with their speeders to investigate while I am doing my "track" ... several times they have reported either just before or at the same time I do to the the group - thus making feel no so much useless but in-effective

I just feel that as Rangers we should have our specialized abilities made more of a necessary and vitaly useful to other players/groups.

/track doesn't exist. That is a skill that was proposed by the devs a long, long time ago. That skill was never implemented and is not on the radar. The only tracking ability we have is /areatrack.

Ah /track that holy grail of ours that we got hints about and never saw the light of day on.

It would have gone like this

Using Ranger Magic I can summon Tat Nuna's into this world!

I thought that /track was being added along with stationary traps in Publish 47.

What do I have to live for now?

Hi folks.

i´m working my way to master ranger atm.

just wondering if someone already had the idea to add the combatlevel of the creatures that are tracked.

since CU its possible to find level 20 banthas or level 80 banthas.. for me this would come in veeery handy!
