I guess that's why I don't understand myself, but then, the biggest part of the reason I'm drawn to Ranger is that I'm playing for fun... not to grind. I LIKE camping in the wilderness. I LIKE going to remote spots on Yavin, or Dantooine, or Talus, or where ever and throwing down a camp, and making some Stims (yah, I got Novice Medic for now and camps, saying hi to the occassional (and generally rare) person who wanders by from time to time, and seeing the amazing variety of wildlife that is actually out there. Folks complain about content and such, I guess I'm still "new" enough to enough what IS here (only been playing for about 2 months).

I just wish more folks were playing to play whatever they had FUN with - not just to grind a jedi. I started surging with the Force today, and I'm sure at some point I'll go all glowy. Do I care? No, not really. Will I do the FS quests if I get glowy? Sure, I guess someday I might, I'm sure I'd be a much better hunter if I get the branches that'll help my rifle skills. But I'm not going to spend hours upon hours just "grinding" to check some boxes. I'm half-way to ranger, and got a ton of badges, have been to almost every planet, most POIs, and am generally having a great time. I wish they'd understand that when they're getting pissy to have us track for them or whatever, they're busting into OUR game, and perhaps OUR "quests" or whatever. I'm more than happy to hunt and bring back resources for my guild. Soon enough, I'll be making regular runs for our tailor, BE, armorsmith, etc. I'd rather be semi-broke and happy than have countless idiots trying to "hire" me over and over and being jerks about it.

In most other professions you would be one of the few with that attitude. With the rangers you are one of many. Most of us are Rangers for the fun adventure and exploration. One new master ranger got it right recently when they put

"A hidden addition to ranger is +100 to content"

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.
