As far as im aware and all you guys, the xp change is done for publish 20 and it is likely that our traps (be it just phec or more) have been fixed. I will be incredibly disapointed (paks too) if they didnt fix any of the other traps whilst in there. We have a thread up there now asking.

Serraphin its the same code that allows you to hold two items, one in each hand, its just that the weapons that you can hold as props dont shoot. Its no less frustrating to pistoleers and fencers than seeing hunting tropheys and stealth handed out toother professions before us.

Yeah, its always hard to see things get handed out before the profession who has requested it the most, come up with the most ideas for it and essentially claimed the idea concept for themselves. Lets just hope that Pistoleers/Fencers get their duel weilds and we get our stealth and everything else we asked for.

Keep in mind that Entertainers have had just about ALL their functionality removed in and since the CU and don't bash them too hard - they, like us, have no word on when to expect the return of skills that actually allow them to add more than eye candy to the game. I doubt the ability to dual weild ribbons is a great comfort at this point.

Im in agreeance to this. Especially if they remove BF. That was the main source of income for the entertainers....since they were the only ones that could get rid of BF quickly. If they got rid of that then there would be no reason to watch or listen to them....and that is how they recieved a bonus to thier experience.
All the lights and flash that they do would be pointless to them.

OTOH, dual weilding for the ents IS still just eyecandy, but it proves the graphic works. Implementing it for actual funtional weapons would take a heck of a lot more brow beating, ie, which weapons? will you be restricted to a 'pair' of weapons or can they be mismatched, what if its a melee weapon in the offhand and a ranged in the main? How the heck to work out the damage modifiers with a Legendary weapon in one mitt and a scrappy old CDEF in t'other...
methinks there might be a little bit of 'baby steps' going on. That and its a blimmin' great tease to keep the combat folks interested (if noisily vocal) for a while longer, eh?
Oh, still no change to traps/trap XP on TC/TC-Whateveroneitisnow, bloodfin I think? Still get 2xp for trapping below my CL, traps behave the same, eithe rno effect or 'that' effect. /shruggage.
Still, nice boatlike vehicle on this months newsletter...

but are the poptarts still bugged that is the question? If it is still bugged then the issue is still unresolved.
Im at work so I cant test it to find out. I know last night the poptarts and the other traps wer still buggy.

Ken is on to the real issue with dual wielding. There is a huge balance issue if you can all of a sudden wield two weapons. What do you do, cut the damage of each in half? If so, then why bother? If not, then pistoleer becomes overpowered. It can get ugly quickly.

exactly whey they wont do it ...unless they come out with dual-wield specific weapons, specially tuned for duelwielding so that pistoleers are not doling out 2x the damage everyone else is.

Or they could drop your speed, accuracy, defense, etc when dual wielding. But it will take some work and thought to be properly balanced.

obviously, you'd have to drop accuracy. But the best way to make them equal is to remove the possibility for many specials while dual weilding. In other words, you'd gain extra damage naturally, but you miss more and can't apply states or do critical hits, or do anything of that nature. So you'd have to give up certain abiliities to do that extra damage.
Of course, we all could be reading too much into this. Dual weilding might only apply to those "double" props, in which caset the props would probably just register as a set of gloves and be displayed in the toon's hands. That would be the easy way to do it. As such, that might be the only way it happens.

My guess is if they do implement some sort of dual weilding system, it'll just make certain weapons dual weilded. I.e. You equip a special "dual D-18 Pistol" and you have one in each hand. Or knucklers for TKM's. That sort of thing. I doubt that they'll put the work needed in to do a "real" dual weilding system, cause balance and so forth would be tough. We'll have to wait and see I guess.
