Thread: Camo Kit Resource List

"I used identical ingredients for all...made 5 Talus Conceal kits. Two of the kits resulted in 2 charges, three of the kits resulted in 3 charges. "

- At the time you create a crafting item, one run of experimentation is performed. That is what defines the initial percentages you see on the crafting screen.

- You will notice above that listing, it will say "Great Success" or "Amazing Success". That is the result of the default experimentation.

With this much resources going into a kit, are any rangers planning on charging for an application? And How much would you charge?

I would buy the kits orpreferable just the resources needed for the kits. I had to give up artisan so can't survey but I still keep my factory which i use for traps and camps I could add the kits if i could acquire the resources in quantity.

I dunno guy's for a bunch of Rangers ya'all sound like artisans.

I try to role-play my Ranger........can't see any other reason to play one.

And in my Ranger's life there ain't no room for no steenkin factories.

I refuse to become a Artisan......city slickers!

My idea of a well scoped out Ranger is one that is self-sufficient out in the woods\desert\wilds.

I'm telling ya, SOE are trying too hard to make us interdependant on the crafting population.

Why, why, do they over-do stuff?

remember the anacronym K.I.S.S. ?

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID..

Simple in the streamlined, fun way.

They are breaking my balls with all the pansy stuff they're having us Rangers do.

We each have our own way to envision the Ranger class. If self sufficiency is your goal, so be it. But I'm sure you're buying your weapons from someone else too so you'll have to give that up if you never want to interact with another player again.

My take on the required ingredients:

It really makes me want to throw up. Planet specific ingredients, in fairly substantial quantities, to make a 2-3 application item, that doesn't even work properly?!

After this patch that appears to have ranger love, and instead nerfs it (camp material requirements, animal hide/bone/meat drops lowered, etc), I'm seriously considering actually DROPPING RANGER for the first time. They've proven they want nothing fun in the game that doesn't have an abnormally huge time/money sink associated with it. Basically this is EQ all over again, and I'm tired of it personally.

Flame away if you want, these are the facts - the skills they added take too much time and effort for what they give you in return, and they nerfed the old skills we had with the exception of /mascscent, which always worked anyhow.

Isn't it amazing, how they can take an already broken class like Ranger, and nerf it even MORE? Totally disgusting, the person in charge of Class design and Rangers at SOE should be fired.

...

Does this mean we have to smear meat all over our faces?

Anyway, at least it gives me a use for all of the carnivore meat in my pack

"to make a 2-3 application item"

- I have heard, with experimentation you can get up to 8 charges per unit.

"that doesn't even work properly?!"

- As for that...You lose nothing by waiting until theyresolve the issues, since you didn't have ANYTHING before

- Though I would suggest stocking up on the required resources, so you CAN use them when the problems are resolved.

so if i Harvest wood on Naboo does that mean i can only use that wood as an ingredient for a Naboo Camo Kit?

Well, I guess the defining point on camo kits would be the uses. When one is applied, you have a better chance of not being aggroed by creatures and npcs right? Now what if you start attacking... has anyone tried this? Does it break you camo or have any benefits to your combat when camo'ed? If not, I will prolly just use mask sent for the most part unless just exploring.

In reply to Boog- Yes Naboo wood only works in Naboo kits. Andit must first be surveyed with a flora kit, and then sampled. And while on the topic of naboo, I've found chubas and gnorts to have the herbivore meats.

My questions:

1) What kinda crafting kit do I need to be able to experiment?

2) Can I experiment the camo kits using the food/chem craft station in the Field Base Kit?

Thank you in advance.
