I hate grinders that didn't really learn the profession no matter what it is. A friend dualed a TKM with his TKM. The other guy only spammed unarmmed hit 3. So my friend just used headhhit 1 and took the guy out fast. He asked "so what was that you were using?"

That was me with my master doc master TK alt. for more details when I dueled the guy we were both doc/tk, both in composite armor, both buffed and both powerboosted. He made a disparaging comment about TK's wearing helms when I put mine on (he wasn't wearing one) and so I figured he was going to spam the headhit at me and was ready for it. I admit I popped some thakitillo (anti-kd food) and canape to prepare for it... but with his buffed stats 300 points higher than mine I expected to have a greater chance of losing than winning.. it was a pleasant surprise to see that the reason he didn't like helms was that he hadn't heard of the headhit attack on the mind pool.

The lesson there is you NEED to learn your specials and your tools, or you WILL lose.

with my main (whee another point) as I reground back my weapons skills into BH (after that run at some crafting classes) I spent a lot of time working with marksman level specials.. Warningshot, Suppressionfire, Etc.. and with novice scout skills/traps. I have gotten quite good at creature control with those tools... Phecnacine dart to slow them, warningshot to chase off the extras, suppressionfire to lock them in place even longer...

And you know what? I leveled faster than the first time, I ENJOYED learning more about the specials I had been neglecting and I have even MORE respect for those of you who have been doing this stuff all along..

I have a friend who is trying out that 14 day free play option, and I have NOT been helping him out in combat, etc.. I have been letting him (and i quote him) "get his butt kicked on tatooine" because I see it as the best way for him to learn how to use his class and actually do good in the game. I recently (about the time I restarted going back into BH weapons) came to the realization that going on hunts and being sheparded by a friend who was a lot higher than me actually hurt me a bit, I came to rely more on power than on skills... and got bit with the buff bug...

I still buff on serious work yes, but I dont require it just to log into the game.. and with my doc alt I refuse to buff anyone who doesn't have a mastery of a combat class on his bio, I dont want to give him bad habits...

I look at the stuff I have learned in the last couple weeks that I should have learned the first time and think about how it is going to help me with the combat balance where our specials will be tied to a new pool instead of our HAMs and realize that the strong players now may not realize that spamming specials will get them killed after the rebalance and how you old "geezers" who had to do the tuskan fort with CDEF pistols and no buffs will be a lot more powerful in relation to them.. since you are using your MINDS to fight, not raw power...

I like the list of questions someone posted farther up. I have to admit, I can not answer every one right off the bat. Some I thought of are similar, like are there any bodies of water on Tat, and where are they, what are they?
What meat type do Nuna give?
Where can you go to talk with Jawas?
Love the crafting stations in the HTFB one.
What are the best two traps to use, and where do you get them?
What animal is gaurenteed to break your camo or mask scent, and what planet is it on?
What types of resources are needed for scout/ranger crafting of all types?
How do you get the Polished Krayt Skull?
Are only agro animals social?
Name 3 types of animals that are not agro, that are social.
Can you track while in a cave?

I know the dwarf nuna gives avian, but only cause we spent hours harvesting 500 units (ewww) I have my standards.. never again...

Talk with jawas? isn't there a bazaar for them?

Crafting stations in the HTFB, hmm I never have gotten high enough in ranger to be able to make one of those, so I have to pass on that one.. :0

what animal will break your mask/camo? Kreetles! and they knock you off your speeder too!

yeah, I dont pass the master ranger test.. but I am not to master yet...

Maybe that could be a question for the quiz: which non-avians give avian meat? Vir-Vurs on Rori. Which Avians do NOT give avian meat? Whisper Birds on Yavin, Lantern Birds on Endor etc etc.
