So, Fred or Nemo on the BE boards? You make the call

Well, as Artisan isn't likely to get too busy, I'm willing to swap BE for Smuggler. Artisan/Smuggler probably won't have too much trouble whereas BE or Doctor might get a bit busy (mainly because of the resource use difference). Although Smugglers were already starting to flame. As it is, I'm trying to read in on most of the boards anyway but I'm happy with whatever you want to give me. Although I almost have the urge to flame back at the Smugglers. I've played the profession and had a lot of fun with it. I'm surprised so many of them complain.

Lol. I'm happy doing any profession, really. While I have only done 12 or so different professions, I have had enough experience in the game to know a bit about most stuff. Often times I seem to know more than some of the people in those professions (BH anyone? I find and kill more of their marks than they probably need for the investigation tree). Sometimes I get the feeling I play too much...

Haha, ive been playing since august and i usally know nothing about other professions. I make a point of reading up on a profession before i have any contact with one. But a bad school connection limits my play time so i guess it is understandable, since my limited time is spent hunting solo in the middle of nowhere.

Playing since launch helps a bit. I ended up knowing such a wide range of people that I've heard most of what happens. And having followed the original boards since they were put up doesn't hurt (although they never did let me into Beta ). I know there are plenty of people out there who know more about their professions than I do. But there are plenty who don't. And it's mostly because I enjoy learning about other professions. I might have done 12 professions but I didn't really grind them (well, maybe artisan but there isn't much of another way to do that one if you want to get it done before the space expansion). I even happened to be one of the few entertainers at my keyboard. And I enjoyed it (well, mostly. It gets lonely in some of those cantinas. Luckily I had a book). It might actually be worth trying all the basic professions if you want to get a feel for them. While most of the advanced professions build on the basics quite a bit, you do get a feel for the higher level ones from the basic ones.

Oye, I thought I had fixed that! Perhaps you need to change your forum name to match it! I will get it right in the next link update .

Hmm, might be worth taking a look in the smuggler thread, Calc. I'm trying my best to friendly and all with this but some of the Smugglers seem to be getting a slightly wrong idea about what we are trying to do. Might be worth having a look to make sure I'm not saying the wrong stuff. Many are supporting us but I'm getting a few of the "Why should we help you do this? Will you help us do something else?" responses. I'm trying but I just want to make sure I don't do anything stupid here.

I imagine we'll get the most support from Docs, BEs, Chefs and most importantly, Armorsmiths. Those guys need hides and meats more than any other class due to the enormous demand for their products and services. As I noticed in the Architect forum, many of them don't even know they need hides, since most "grind" architects just make harvesters for money.

On the smuggler thread:

A lot of them don't seem to know how this would affect them directly.According toAllakhazam, nothing inSpices IV uses any creature resources, and those are about the only spices that there is a market for. Your average smuggler probably never uses any organics for himself.

It's not THAT bad. Although I'm starting to think you might have been right. Although the majority seems to be in favor of it I'm having a bit of trouble pushing them off the "what will you do for us" idea. I just want to make sure I'm not being either too pushy or too weak about it. But whatever. My imaginary Ranger already has his flame resistant skin.

Any of the Smugglers with Smuggling 4 have almost certainly used organics to get there. And one of the posters actually mentioned needing some Scaley Hide from Calc.
