Hmmm, a guy in camo with a rifle. Seems to fit what a lot of us do "ingame."

I think the Scout icon will definetly be a camp. I'm still hoping for a camoed face for us. What else, a compass?

I think it's going to be funny what image they give us because no matter what it is we're going to disect it's meaning 8 ways from Sunday. Considering that the developers haven't yet given us a specific idea of what our role in the game is yet, it's going to be interesting to see what facet of our profession they choose to focus on for our icon. I say this with a litle humor, but it's actually quite funny. What's holding up the release of the Ranger and Scout icons is probably just an extension of the age old question: "what is it that those guys DO?"
Any icon we get now would have to be generic enough not to make it seem as if we are one-dimensional. Crafters make certain structures, entertainers have certain choices (dance or music)--but there are MANY ways to be a Ranger. Having an icon with a tent, or a trap, or a guy tracking is going to be misconstrued. They should just give us a big, camo-style "R". Simple and it doesn't back them into a corner by making Rangers think we're one-dimensional.

I bet our icon will be a question mark, reflecting the developers attitude towards us.

That might be the CH's. Campfire=scouts, right? Well CH's are from scouts, so...

Yeap, I'm pretty sure that one is for CH's.
I set my current icon to be what I believe is the Ranger one. The icon with the campfire and the random symbol above it. Like I said- cryptic and devoid of any specific aspect of the Ranger profession. I actually am glad there isn't a camp, or a trap, because that would pin us down too much. The icon could be interpreted as a military symbol, but I'll just let that stew in your heads. I actually like the icon, so that's a big plus.

d'oh I was wrong. The one that I had was the Squad Leader one. Would've worked for Ranger too.
