Phenix drinks? I thought he merely absorbed alcoholic nutrients by soaking in the punchbowl.
Does that mean that hoochosynthesis is, in fact, not a Secret Bothan Skill?

I say don't add fans you don't need. More fans = more fans to break. And its a lot more tricky to get good air flow than you would think. Two case fans in the right places can move more air in and out of your box than 10 fans in the wrong places.

i'm gonna buy like 8 freaking fans and an extra hard drive. RAID time, baby!
my computer is gonna run at like 39 degrees, 'cause i'm also gonna drill holes into a refridgerator and put my compuer inside.
Be careful with condensation if you use that approach (and I assume you mean 39 degrees Fahrenheit). If you let water collect in the wrong places in your system, you will be even worse off than you are now.
And realize that too many fans arranged improperly can actually decrease the cooling effeciency of your system. Make sure that the fans promote air flow and don't just blow hot air around (i.e. make sure you have air moving into and out of your case in a sensible fashion).
And, yes, I have seen people with overheating problems because they had their fans set up stupidly (not to mention background noise problems because they bought way too many for their case size).

lol...i'm just playing around...
in all seriousness, I have three case fans-- front and back blowing air out, one on the side, pulling air in, and a CPU fan/heat sink located (shock) by the CPU.
I am seriously considering the RAID thing though...and adding another meg of RAM couldn't hurt.
Just to be clear, I'm assuming you plan to use RAID 0 and not one of the higher modes.
RAID is nice but you don't want to jump into it without knowing much about it (i.e. a lot of people would prefer to buy 2 new drives instead of one as it can save a lot of hassle and RAID usually works best with identical drives and it can be nice to have a non RAID 0 drive to use for stuff you don't want to lose and such [and to avoid a full system reinstallation]). If you haven't already, you probably want to look around online a bit to make sure you know what you will need to do to set this up.
And more RAM almost never hurts. This is the main thing my system is missing but fixing it requires a new motherboard (my motherboard is old enough to have a max limit of 512 MB of RAM
). And the other stuff is getting a bit aged now so I'll probably just end up getting a whole new system but I'm waiting for a few things to become a bit more available first (basically, my new graphics card usually ends up having as much RAM as my old system so I'm waiting for the 512MB cards).
In fact I found out about this game from a client that couldn't get it to run for crap. I stuck it on a uBeR dual Xeon box with 4 Gigs just to get a feel for how much hardware it would suck up.
Really it comes down to having enough RAM and a fast path from your HD to your RAM. If your swap file is on a different drive than your SWG install that helps a lot too.
