My Carrion Spat is named "Paleopteryx" for ancient bird.
The name for my Bolotaur is "Drakling" because i noticed that he has the exact same horn pattern on his head as i do 
and my Varactyl is named "Talyn" after the Leviathan in the TV show Farscape. I figured that a bird/ reptile type creature "Talyn" would be pretty appropriate.

My pets are (spelling may be slightly different ):
Bolotaur = Shookowat
Varactyl = Pasheewaar
Kashyyyk Bantha = Gajaar
Brackaset = Tibanna
Gurreck = Tabatha
During respec I went master CH for a day to fully train them all without losing the extra pet slots

I named my Varactly Gutter. My bolotaur is Shank. As far as what you should name yours try looking around your kitchyen and name them after something. I have a charater on Bria named Reduced Fat. I got the name off of a box of Cheese Nips.
