Yes, the ultimate camp looks neat, and you have the crafting stations in it and all, but how often do people craft out in the wilds? Only on one occasion have I seen anyone actually use the crafting stations, and it was a strange reason why. The traps? rarely do I use them or seen them used. Maybe I should use the scout ones more, who knows. The camo kits might be nice, I understand they do not break as often as Mask Scent does. Now, we come to the Tracking tree, the favorite tree of dabblers like me.I think as a whole, it is a pretty combo and it suits my vision of an outdoors character very well. Animal companion, organic harvesting, tracking, and the rest of the skills from Scout.
I craft a great deal out in the wilds. I would hazard the guess that most of us do so. Not only that, but several times medics have been relieved to see that crafting station in my camps.
As for traps, I think others will agree that the states they inflict can make things much easier, especially when that fool in your group continues pounding on the lair after you tell him to stop.
Mask scent and camouflage are our friends. I doubt there is a Ranger among us who does not first mask or camo before trekking out into the wilds. Why not? At the very least, it is worth XP, since not everyone is a Master Ranger. Also, who wants to be bothered by every potentially aggressive creature out there while filling a hunting contract? Not I.
Your vision of Ranger is one of many, none more valid than the others. Your template is an interesting combination, to be sure, and I am sure that it fits your playing style.

I wonder which came first-- the desire to hunt or the supreme quantitites of Jager I drink.
it's like the chicken and the egg, only with hunting and booze.
