"Rise!"
*Rising hands over head, chanting arcane syllables*
"Olde and forgottenne, communion of the dead, may your expyred breath once again strike the sense ofe the living like a tempyst winde!"
*Pouring a bag of blood sapphires into the center of a pentagram of lit candles*
"The cycle of eternitie commenceth. I rise thee, fallenne Moonlit Post. Heed my arkane call!"
"It's aliiiiive!"
Hey Phenix, remember this? I especially like the quote from you about six posts down: "What kind of idiot would start a thread titled 'blarg'?"

Best thing about going back to Uni as a 'mature student' was being a) old enough to not get totally hammered on a couple of pints of aerated beer water and b) being old enough to 'know better' but doing it anyway. Mind you, getting given an office in the corner of the campus bar was my idea of dying and going to Heaven. Makes me wonder how I ever got through Finals
Oh, and 'lost weekend'?? Pah, amateur! I lost most of the 1980's I went from purple mohicanned punk to suave New Romantic and have no recollection of the, oooh, 5 years in between... (Note to self. Absynthe is bad, m'kai)

Our national anthem's tune came from an old English beer drinking song. Gotta love that

Ah, a nice tall glass of draft Shiner! I'm from Texas and am rather fond of our little brewery in Shiner Texas. Shiner, Shiner Bock and Ziggen Bock are a few of my favorite beers, and I just discovered Murphy's. Needless to say I'm a big fan of red beer. Heck, I'll even drink Dos XX's Amber if I'm a t a good Mexican restaurant.
Usually have only one beer a month max and that's with a good steak or fajitas while out with the wife. Either that or a real good merlot.
But for parties with the family, nothing beats a good Jack and Coke.

Except a Jack and coke, hold the coke. Jack Daniels is the closest I will ever come to loving another man. and by god, do I love Jack.

I remember it. Kinda. If you grab me a beer, it may help to uh....refresh my memory. And I fully admit that I am the type of idiot who starts a thread title "blarg" though I think my legal advisor would inisit that when I was drunk, my psycho-genetic brain functions were inherently different than the normal, sober me, hence, it wasn't actually "me" who wrote that post, but rather some half-witted, drunken fake me. Although this would easily be countered by anyone who knows me-- the half-witted, drunken person is the real "me". It's the rational, sober me that the fake.
