What Calc said.

whining leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I like these boards too much to sully it with griping.

The main problem, as I see it in Smuggler, is the lines are only worthwhile using at the highest level - there is never any call for anything produced by Spices 1-3 or Slicing 1-3, only Masters and Line headers. Kinda different from any problem Ranger has.

As for the two Pistol trees - well, i'd disagree about Underworld, I have yet to find a use for it that is honestly worth my time and effort, and the lower two Smuggler attacks have been nerfed thru the floor. As you yourself noted, you had Novice Pistoleer to help you out - Smuggler alone can't hit jack :/

Like I say tho, I totally agree that neither profession is in a fit state, but I find I enjoy Ranger a lot more than I enjoy Smuggler.

And at the end of the day, aren't we here for enjoyment?

Gang,

I hear all of this, and trust me - I'm trying to push TH as hard as I can. But there is a lot of other stuff going on that's drowning me out.

I'm going to focus on the camping issues for now, as I said, and hopefully when the new Ranger Correspondent gets selected we can put our heads together and figure out a plan to get both our professions some attention.

This isn't a zero sum game, though, so keep that in mind. Because Jedi get something, it doesn't mean they matter more. They just are - honestly - more broken than we are.

NOOOOO push on the harvest not the camps. i think changes there should be easier made and we know that if done they will make us better.

I think Delta is pushing the camps because that was specifically named by Thunderheart as a priority. Once we get a correspondent, we will be able to push bigger and better issues.

Come on guys, BH droids have been broken since day one. We've been trying to get them fixed for months. It wasn't just that they wouldn't track Jedi. Besides, I would think you'd be happy with having less dabblers.

On another note I hope you guys can get your revamp soon. I've had ranger since before I had BH and I have always loved it, and even though my droids work now I don't see any reason to drop anything. So good luck to you in your quest to gain some Dev attention

Dabblers was the wrong word. Actually I can't imagine why I put in anything about dabblers now. Trying to fill space? Maybe. But regardless, good luck

I really hate to break this 'patience' love-fest bit, but those bounty hunter and carbineer fixes should have gone in at Beta 3. One year later and they get a once over. If you're willing to sit back, play the nice guy and wait - that's exactly what you'll be doing. Those aren't our rules, but the ever changing, inconsistance policy of development SoE seems to create on a whim. After all, its a well known leak about the Jedi Revamp plans. What more proof could you want?

Rangersare split down the middle in our views on dabblers. People say "dabble" like it is the worst thing in the world, but show me a person who has mastered thier 3 professions and have no skills in any other. This game is made for dabbling, why esle could we master 3.5 professions?
