HA! Actually, afriend (also my closest in-game friend) sent me some baklava and it arrived yesterday. It is so totally addictive. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
And I'm a female gamer, yes. I'm not a very good fragger, but by "gaming" I do play more than just online solitaire.

I played games before meeting my now wife. She really hadnt. She saw me playing Diablo and wanted to try it. Nice and simple mouse clicks. She became addicted and i built a small network, and second PC, to play it multiplayer (there was a hack for it). We moved from this into Diablo 2. Then she learned she didnt like FPS's. But then while i was playing and getting deep into World War II Online she wanted to see what it was like and played more then me. And got a lot better at it then i did. And it seems like a lot of women in game were that way. First it was "I want to spend more time with you by doing this" to her playing more then I did.
Women gamers are a new part of our culture. Or at least a new exposed part. Welcome!

O NOS IT GETS WORSED!
While waiting on buffs in Theed yesterday, someone who was quitting the game was doing silly little fun contests to give away his stuff. I won one, and my prizes were several full crates of nice food, a full crate of very nice brandy, and...
Four pairs of hawtpants. In varying colors.
OH NOOOOOOOS!
Okay, okay, they're more the "bikini bottom" type than the true shorts-style hotpants, but they're still called hawtpants! In four fruity flavors!
IT JUST GETS WORSE! ::sobs:: I think I need a priest...

I dunno, maybe it's the coffee, but am startinf to imagine "VoiceOver Man" doing JB's little terse comments at the end of his mails. Y'know, the voice that appears at the end of, say, a financial services advert to warn that the value of your investment could go up or down, your house may be at, and always remember sunblock....

Well if it makes you all feel better. I had to drop most of tailor. Im going up Weaponsmith to help my guild. So I can no longer make those pieces of clothing that shall not be named (alothough appeared in Entertainment Weekly this week as something thats making a comeback). Now i just want a schematic for a rangers bow to make

reference the "voice over dude"
Since when is death a "severe side effect"?? I mean jeezus - some side effect. Yeah, take our stuff, but lookout, you can keel over freaking deader than hell if you don't watch out.
That and the 4 hour woodie - who in their right mind thinks a 4 hour erection can possibly be normal?
Anyways - hawtpants are the Devil Bobby, the Devil.
But one guildie who is bugging me about uniforms is getting hot pink ones.

Bow, bow, bow, BOW BOW BOW! BOW!
I love bows. In real life, in games, in artwork on my walls, I just think bows and archery are neat as heck. I'd LOVE a bow of some kind in game, whether Rangers could use it or not (though it'd be a nice perk since the only visually-defining part of our class is something no one ever uses). I have a crossbow, and while it's nifty, I can't use it.
And the hawtpants are now buried in a backpack. But they want to come out....
