I would think tailors would want to buy hides and bones and chefs would want to buy meat. Unfortunately on my server, there are very few chefs to date.

I sell minerals, chemicals and flora (wood doing exceptionally well) for 4-6 credits per unit depending on difficulty finding/harvesting. The one thing is you have to have high artisan engineering (for mills) and high surveying. Special skills (armor, architects and weaponsmiths) need the most but are very specific on hard to find items. I have 15k of steel and 6k aluminum sitting in my inventory waiting to sell as well as 2k wood and 2k fiberplast. As many of us can verify, quality and quantity play a big factor in this line of work. It ain't easy. When I get tired of hunting, I do surveying for a list of hard to find items. I set up a camp and start harvesting. Works the time out well for me.

I have run out of points once I add a weapon specialty, which is more critical for me than artisan.

I am basically running off of my previous profession, Weaponsmith, to find, harvest and sell resources until I need them for either pisoleer or ranger. Engineering and Surveying will be the last ones to go.

agreed with above post. destroy missions give more money and are less time consuming than surveying, BUT i still like to survey for rare minerals, you can still make 10 creds per one unit easy for rare stuff, and I think gouging clients is fun...

Destroy missions all the way. On Corellia I can usually get between 3500 and 4000 credits from one crazed durni lair.
