Synder here novice ranger. Based on Naboo. Send me a tell if you need a hand.

I'm usually around kaadara on naboo seeing as there is a ranger trainer there and my pa hall is near bybut get most of my xp on lok. Can't beat the mask scent runs through there. I should have trap 4 today but other than that i'm fairly new to being a ranger, been focusing on 2 hand sword. I've been paying for my training off lok missions, can make about 30 k in an hour or two.

i still feel that anyone who does the maskscent runs is exploiting.

id rather spend 2 hours killing and harvesting for my XP than to just run around with maskscent on. its just a lame way to do it.

Update : Got lvl 4 in everything except frontiering. I am about 3/4 of the way to Frontiering 3, lvl 4 is gonna take an age though :/

Wolff Katana here. Novice Ranger with Trap1 and Fronteir1. How you doin Rhyknow, thanks for the trains the other day. Anyway, I seem to always hang around Theed and Wayfar, so if you see me around, say hello. Someone mentioned that Ranger traps are going to changed to work on humanoids? Is this true? Would make this profession ALOT more valuable than I see it being right now. Alot of the skill boxes in this profession offer no new skills which kinda sucks.

I do missions on lok, i don't just run around with mask scent up even if it sounded like thats what i meant. Mask scent saves my ass on that planet, everywhere you look there isa red dot. I'm using my scout skills I don't see how i'm exploiting, its not like i'm maxing my scouting xp by standing in 1 place (which you can't do anyway, i beleive you only get the xp once per mob).

Mask scent runs take an active involvement, especially with the recent changes, if it goes down you need to watch out because for 60 seconds you will be aggro'd. You can't just macro it every 60 seconds because that turns it off if you hit it when its up. Of course I also have to harvest, how else can I make traps or camps. Mask scent didn't work at all for me as a scout, now as a ranger with a decent amount of camo, why can't I use that camo? Have you ever tried running to the imperial base on lok? Try it without mask scent and with and tell me which you would rather do.

pwt, i dont have a problem with using it that way. you made it seem like you were just running around getting xp using maskscent. i almost ALWAYS have maskscent on. why not? free xp and i dont get hammered by all the aggros.

its just there were alot of people (pre-nerf) that would just run around on lok to get the xp and nothing more. and that kinda disappoints me is all.

but thats just MY opinion. no one ever said im right. :-)

Down to my last box of camping before I get Master. Heh, sadly my Ranger skills have been high up there for a while, while my TK skills were at virtually Novice level. Yet I mastered TK and still have 60,000 Wilderness xp to go. How's that for balance?
