According to CU they should be viable (again?)in PvP, yet I doubt it.
Pets *do* have state attacks (in Live) that are, well to say it nicely, not working 100%.
If they have fixed those too while at it I can't tell yet.
That is something that remains to be seen.
One point remains, and that's currently a fact:
* whenever i throw a trap
* or shoot
a creature will FORGET the tank and go after me. So in effect I myself am TOTALLY useless during combat.
This has not only been reported by me, but by others as well (as in TC-forum and in game).
Imagine this scenaria:
Hunting a krayt with a group, TKA, Fencer in front lines, Rifleman behind, docs and combat medics around, me in between somewhere (max 45m)... Now TKA/Fencers keep /following the krayt, cause whenever a rifleman shoots, the krayt will turn direction to the rifleman... Cause Rifleman qualifies for some type of armor and probably has better armor, they might hold out for a sec, cause then another rifleman would shoot so the Krayt would turn again...
Now I shoot, I don't get any extra health (at least so it seems, my pets are in the same predikament as the melee players), I get breathed upon by the Krayt and I'll be dead.

So once again, why should I group if the group is not able to help me?
FACT:
Currently on TC I gave some tricks to a number of scout/rangers: just stay close to ME... Whenever I shoot something it will come for me. So just stand IN FRONT of me to tank...
It happens ALL THE TIME.
So unless this is somehow fixed, I have a feeling that even Marksman 4004 alone would be a waste, and maybe I could do Brawler... Standing with my pets...
Or maybe Medic so I can keep healing myself after my pets get incapped and I need to run for dear live...
Remember please, this is what I see happening if the current CU without adjustements will be put to live. Some issues need to be rethought and redone.

According to early reports on the Creature handler forum, CH skills give NO HAM Bonuses either.
So someone like me who is a Master in both, gets nothing but his base 1k HAM now, plus a few hundred from basic marksman skills..
With the weapon skill classes being increased, my current template means I have to drop Pistoleer boxs and will just have basic marksman skill boxs cause of the Ranegd Support columns now required. I cannot even get Novice Pistoleer anymore.
Bad bad bad news for me.
