Thread: How do you all make money?
Selling Organic Resources. My prime customers are BE's, Doctors and Armoursmiths. Look into the Antarian Rangers on some guilds. On Elcipse I have developed a base of merchants that need supplies of organics all the time. In fact, I can't keep up with their demands
I helped create the Antarian Ranger association (it's a guild too, but more then a guild) on Eclipse to gather other Rangers and Scouts to help me collect this stuff.
I sell for far less then what I see others sell the "good stuff" for (a reference to the aformentioned Avian for 100cr/u) and still make money. I like them to remember me if I have to buy from them
. Once you start up a system like I did to get rangers to harvest and sell to merchants the "word of mouth" effect will give you all the opportunity to make money that you need. I've been doing this for almost 2 months now and my net worth passed 1 mill 3 weeks ago (down again then back depending on the PSG's and the food buffsI can find
).
Not to mention that running around finding the "good stuff" lets you go all over the galaxy and meet other rangers and scouts. Try to avoid the Holo-hunting planets tho... bad lag...

My primary monkey, err money making is selling resources. For a good idea you might check out our Rangers of Bria (RoB) posts on the Bria forums. We have an organized group of hunters, and an organized way to getting customers for high end orders. I'm talking about 10k-100k or a specific resource for anyware or 15cpu-30cpu. After about our first 3-4 of these big harvests I was up to 1mil credits. Ever since doing this my money is always between 500k and 1 mil. Pretty darn good for a ranger. Thats the only money making profession have too.
The key customers you are wanting to harvest for are BE, AS, and Doctors. The key resources tend to be herb, avian, and insect meat, and wooley hides. A good like 900+ across the board is the most popular resource for our server. We get several orders of 50k + of it. But if you search out those kinds of customers, and ask them what stats they are looking for, you can get rich. Even if on your own. Find the planet that has a good resource, figure out what missions get those creatures, join or organize a group to go get those missions and harvest what the group kills. Then sell it later.
Rule 1: Never work for one paycheck. If you are running a mission, make sure you harvest. If you are going to harvest, make sure it's for a mission. Harvest anything and everything you see... with all the doofi (doofus plural) grinding to make Jedi, you can sell anything for a decent price.
Rule 2: Never pay retail. You just harvested a load of decent hides. Go see the tailor, offer to trade hides and those eggs you also harvested for some mod'd clothes. Then take whatever meat you got that's above average, go see the doc, andbarter for stims.
works for me, I have gotten free pets, houses, clothes, stims, and weapons.
BIg happy dance somedays

Any time you've got 15 spare skill points get novice artisan and survey for resources while you're out on jobs/hunting. Have a couple of heavy harvesters on you and when you see a good resource drop 'em. I've done this to get my large naboo house (probably 30k out of pocket for something selling for 100k and up) and if you have an architect in your guild or you meet up with one willing to do these straight up trades you can usually cut a deal with them for a hefty percentage of the sales they or you make. Get them to provide the power though.
With my CH and Ranger both at the halfway mark (CH 3323 | Ranger 4242) I'm picking up faction missions for 8.4k at the most and about 100fp each mission. I'm sure i could use the fp to get some troopers and bump that up a bit, but I don't wanna get greedy now... ![]()
