Ranger / Scout number one complaint is now camps are totaly useless. By addressing the CH complaint ours is egnored. If you take that away from us then there is no point in wasting the DB space with camps.
Think of this as a nerf to a profession like Dancers, probably not the smartest of choices to pick on and nerf.

Ok, the way I read it -
You will be able to call pets/vehicles/droids without a camp, but you have to wait 30 secs or so.
With a camp, they pop immediately.
Dunno why the CHs are whining, they have to be novice scouts don't they?
It is the non-CHs and the DEs that were whining, and everyone else that didn't have scout and stored their vehicles before combat, only to be stuck in east middle no place without a ride and ... gasp... had to walk through reds to get home.
Oh well. I use my camps to heal more than anything.

I believe the CH complaint is that the change is being put in to address problems that affect Creature Handlers but in a way that doesn't necessarily produce any tangible benefit to them.
Being able to call pets anywhere alleviates the teleporting, autostoring and cowardly pet problems. However any exploits that would demand the 30 second call time have been dealt with by implementing all of the other calling restrictions associated with combat. Any CH who doesn't have some serious adjunct combat skills is toast if they have to wait 30 seconds to re-call their pets that poofed in the middle of some red spawns or worse, during combat.
Think of a creature pet more like a trap than like a weapon. They enhance our function in combat, but they really can't be relied upon as a standalone combat ability. If you suddenly had to wait 30 seconds for your phenc darts or adhesive mesh traps to stick, even after having thrown them, this is the kind of frustration the CH community is facing.

I think I'm only the third MR my PA has had, ....
3 in the same guild? I am the only one my guild has ever had, except for the holo ranger who was a master for 5 seconds (no offense intended). But, I sure am popular for hunts...

Well if you really want a sight log on to Eclipse and go to Rori. Hunter's Hollow. Sunday night one of our new citizens got a sight when 3 MRs were around him. I am positive there are 5, myself, Frederick, Kopa, Halligan, and Crotulas (sp?). I am pretty sure there are a couple more and some that if they would get through frontiering would also be masters. But then again what do you expected from a city with that name? ![]()

Amen to both the highlighted statements

Camps do everything I need them to do, and this "nerf" really isn't. I see it as a boon. Less people will keep scout now that they don't have this inconvenience, which means that both Scout and Ranger will be left to those who really want to be here.
I'm not saying that camps couldn't use some love, though.

Kope's move to Hunter's Hollow turned out to be a quite hasty decision tho, the initial reasons to move away from my old home were worked out and I might be moving again soon (but I guess this is nothing for here, basically I rejoined the PA that I left in anger and as such they expect me to move back to our city Neo-Rome soon, Neo-Rome will btw have 3 Master Rangers 'soon' and a fourth some day in future
But as said, this is nothing for this board, we might talk about it on RIN when I am home and can get into swg
healing mind wounds in the field is a nice little benefit that we have.
on another note, I think that the removal of camps for pets improves the game in general for the majority of people. Very few people now dont have a speeder, mount or a pet. This frees them up and improves their game.
Rangers and scouts will definately need a camp upgrade, im im crossing my fingers for the outdoorsman
