Well we had one good night on LOK then last night was a bust.
On Foot I ran a track that ran from the Volcano to the Static Gurk spawn north to the Static Gurk Spawn 6000 meters to the west and back to the Volcano.
I spotted many gurk Lair and Gurk Kings as well as many GDK. I was out for a good 3 hour run on this track.
Every 450 meters stopping to area track then moving to my target if spotted.
Last night was depressing compared to the night before. I looted 11 +9 health enhancers anf 7 crappy Battle armor cores which I trashed.
Not a single Gurk King dropped anything, and most GDKs were empty as well.
By far Gurks have been the hadest of the three to locate and hunt.
When you do find Gurk Kings maybe 1 in 5 actually drops something.

Off topic - I am lookinginto solo tactics and had a few questions about the above post.I assume becauseyou are a master Rifleman and a Master Ranger you have no room forCHskills - what is the max level of creature that can be used for tanking (for a non-CH)? Have you ever used a droid to do the same task? What qualities should I be looking for in the pet/droid to do this?

As a non-ch you are capped at level 10 for a creature pet, however I believe if you group with said pet it acquires your own CL, so if you're level 80 it fights as a level 80. I was using my Bolotaur mount against Krayts last night just for kicks

I think he was hitting for about 36 damage but he did seem to do a little tanking (hard to tell tbh due to pop tarts). A droid would do more damage for you I presume.
