Camo is mostly working as intended, except when it isn't. From my observations it works fine outside in the wild, if you go inside (for example Geo Caves, Warren, etc) then it doesn't work but sometimes it still does depending on glitchyness. Incidentally most of Kashyyyk is "inside" as you move away from the main map.
Rescue is not working as intended.
Scouts/BH can as noted above outharvest only in certain circumstances.
Forage works as intended and works quite well.
Terrian negotiation works as intended
Camps as i'm sure you know used to pay a more central role to the game, you needed a camp to log out in the wilds. Now they just provide a safe place to pull out droids and relax and rest a little.

I agree with you.
On the other hand, it is a note worthy irony that of all the things that don't work properly in Ranger, they fixed, in record time, the one bug that made things easier for Rangers.

You take from it what you want. If the rest of the skills are useless to you then it's your decision whether you keep them or reassign them to something thats more useful.
If it's the title you want then the decision becomes one of how much you want the title and how much you're prepared to do to get it. If the job is too big just now, for whatever reason, maybe it's not the right time to do ranger?
I have got to ask, and I asked myself this a while back, but why do something, in a game, that is not 'essential' in that it's part of a predetermined set of conditions that must be achieved to get to an endgame, or that is not 'fun' or rewarding?
You're a ranger. You're a member of a profession that has never been 'uber', that relies, at this point in time, entirely on another combat profession for any accuracy, offence and defence modifiers. A profession that offers nothing to you, and never has offered, any increase in your combat viability other than in a very narrow niche.
Rangers never stalked the land with a 'win' button in their hands. They used what they knew and what they could learn to pick their fights, to use tactics and intelligence to make sure that any combat they entered was winnable.
And still they died. A lot.
So they'd clone, dust themselves off, thank the makers that they didn't waste time or money on buffs or armour and got back to work with no more comment than "well that was interesting...".
In recent months however 'rangers' have changed. It's now a competition to see who could, not track and kill something exotic, but who makes the most credits, has the biggest bank balance, can solo the most krayts or gorax or freak mutant geo-nunas. When we don't get something we never had, we throw a hissy fit. When we don't get something fixed NOW DAMMIT RIGHT NOW, we throw a hissy fit. When we misinterpret what a dev said or put more credence into an off the cuff PR event comment than it merits, we just about go apoplectic because we were lied to, let down, or otherwise betrayed, nerfed, messed around.
Now, I've got a very high BS tolerance level (just look at the amount of garbage I throw out on a regular basis) but even I'm starting to get tired of it. Already the devs don't post because everything they say or don't say is picked apart and draws the eejits in like flies on roadkill. The old timers on the Ranger forum have cut their posting down to a minimum as the bulk of the stuff on here is just plain argumentative, repetitive, and frequently, TOO frequently, turns personal. The corries post infrequently as all too often people seem to be holding them personally responsable for the lack of progress.
Seriously, it's time to do a reality check. There are fixes planned for a few of our issues. At some time in the future we may, or may not see a revamp. At best I think we'll see a few things getting jerked around as part of the general publish schedule.
Play the game that's in front of you. Play it to the best of your abilities. If something is genuinely broken, deal with it.
At the end of the day, it's your decision to keep paying, your decision to keep playing.

Yes Ranger's have been changed. Most of the things that made us special have been handed out to other professions. Most of the suggestions that have been made here in this very forum have been given to other professions. Stealth? Now "Force Cloak" for Jedi and "Cover" for Rifleman. Originally introduced by our own Fred Skinner. Root and snare? Suggested by many long time Rangers as a great idea to get Rangers involved in the GCW as man/player traps. Given to everyone and their mother. The idea was here first. Camo kits. Given to everyone to use. Camps? Nerfed to nothing.
As I stated in another thread. There is room for those disagreeing with the status quo to be heard.

Very well said!
That post should be copied, pasted and sent as a reply to nearly all the posts I see in the ranger forums these days.. (ie. the "fix it now!!1!", "protest" and "/petition" posts, etc...")

I agree. I have been at least novice scout since the first day I found a trainer. Played around with ranger for a few months, dropped it and when I got my free toon. I wanted him to be a Master Ranger already had it planned from the beginning of the village stuff. Yeah, we are broken in ways. But the community and the lifestyle is so great, I play my ranger more than I do my other charc now. Just my 2 cents.
I won't flame you, I agree. The p-dart was not my point. It was a game breaker and I refused to hunt with it for awhile as I considered it as such.
But my god...look at the other traps?? Look at the other problems we have. ...why the p-dart? because it upset the rest of the other professions that is why.
Fix a bug in a hurry if it makes you more powerful, ifa bugturns you into a whipping boy for every mob that comes down the pike...we don't care. I think that sums it up!
