Having the toon /say something also keeps you from going AFK and being dropped out. That's the method I used. I put in something about welcoming people to my camp, enjoy the stay and whatnot. Worked like a charm. Oh, and since tent decay seems to be based on the quality of the camps made, I always used really crappy materials for my grind. After the xp maxxed out, the tents decayed much quicker than using 900+ materials. That can cut 15-20 additional minutes from your camps so you can get right back to earning xp that much quicker.

That being said, the best place to camp is definitely near a high traffic area. I found it useful to set up my camps over the creek outside of the Imperial Outpost on Talus. A lot of people /br out of the base to their mission and if they can run through your base instead of being forced to swim (and cut their /br short) then all the better. I even got a few tips from strangers for saving them time and allowing a place to heal while out.

if you working in /afk in your macro it works too (you rotate from afk to no afk status without the auto afk status kicking in as long as your afk timer is larger than your macro loop time.

Seems awful complicated when all you need to do is run SWG in a window and camp while you're surfing the net, reading these message boards (I'm camping as we speak),sending e-mail, whatever. No figuring out macros, no 3rd party software. To each their own, I guess.

to whoever posted about the belkin n50 it's not really software as much as it is hardware the speed pad comes with a profile editor and another program where you can make macros but that is used in many games and applications. fora company to say you can't use things like that is ridiculous. I have bad hands and I find that the speed pad is far more comfortable than a keyboard and just sits on my leg.

so I appreciate all the help everyone has given me here, but I have a problem with Butte2's macro - I can't seem to get it to work. So anyone here correct me if I'm wrong:

I place the macro button in the F1 tooolbar slot. Every other slot I put a different camp into it. Now what I don't get is that there are 24 spots in the toolbar, but Butte2's code lists 25 - 00 thru 24 - can someone help me out here?

regardless, I enter the code as given assuming that extra spot won't really matter. But all my toon does is wait around, go prone stand up, and then keep doing this over and over (so at least I know the loop works back to spot 00) But that doesn't explaing why the camps aren't being made.

Any advice is appreciated.

His /ui action toolbarSlot24 isa typo. Remove that bit. They're right. IT does go from 00-23. It doesn't work, eh? Do you constantly get spammed that you already have a camp set up elsewhere?

Oh, and don't forget to capitalize Slot. I missed that the first time I made mine too.

yeah that ("Slot") seemed to be the problem, thanx. There was also a spacing issue with the coding after the "/ui action toolbarSlot**;" before the "/pause 5;" - there should not have been a space between these two.

thanks again for all the help

Not meaning to flame or anything, but why not go on a few big hunts with a lot or ppl to Lok or Endor, I picked up 100k+ survival exp just throwing up camps hunting in groups in about a week and a half. Still need 20k for frontiering4 and that is all I need for Master. Same place helped me max out my trapping exp. (still need to train AdvTrapping4 gotta give up skill points first).

Some pauses from hunting I would set up and disband camps in about 2-3 minutes, with everyone wounded and healing, i would get 3-5 k exp each pause in hunting 10-15k during a 2-3 hour hunting session.
