Thread: New Master Ranger on bloodfin...already thinking of giving it up!
My character template looks like:
BH 0-1-4-4
Ranger 4-0-4-0
Medic 1-0-0-0
I've found that this gives me a character that I can have fun with either hunting mobs for select clients and collecting 20-35 cpu for the resources or taking BH missions and chasing down the bounties. I was shooting for MBH until I realized how little fun, and money, I was having in the investigation line. I say some want adds on my galaxies board and decided to put my scouting skills to use. It's been alot of fun thus far.
I've considered the Master Ranger route but I hardly ever pitch a tent anymore soI can't justfiy spending the points in that line just to get the title.
I thought about dropping BH *gasp* for a brief moment, but I like my BH weapons and have hope that changes in that profession will make it fun again. I don't however, see myself dropping my ranger skills to master it though.
Cheers,
Ffolks
Master Ranger/ Master scout
4 1 4 3 rifleman
1 1 0 0 medic
4 0 0 3 marksman
I use non CH pets (such as cowardly gurreck or chared kreavol) to tank the mob which only lasts a short time with the amount of damage I can do on the mobs. My pet is not grouped because if he is he will take 40 pct of my harvests so i leave it out of the group so i get max amount of harvests. I cant solo krayt dragons or anything of that sort but i can solo most animals with up to 10k ham and even a few at the same time with AOE attacks. I find that ranger had helped me alot in the terms of making money. I get a mission or track own some animals and kill them easily and get the resources from them. On a good day i can make 300k. So ranger is not that bad in terms of how much more you can harvest but it would be nice if there was more to it.
Well Ryuno, I'd stick to a pistol skill, or Carbine since supposedly that's a good gun for mid-close range as well as long. Not quite sure,I'm a pistol twi'lek myself.
I'm losing sp daily, I've got like under 10 left but I need 20 for Master Ranger. I'm at2,2,1,2 or something similar in Ranger. But I've got to drop my musicianship pts eventually. I'm slowly realizing I might be dropping a lot of marksman areas. Suppose some of us really do need an extra 30-50 skill points. It's make Mastering a profession more fun at least. Rather than a stopping point.
My Character when From
Rifleman 4/2/4/3
Ranger 4/2/4/4
CH 1/1/0/0
Medic 0/0/0/0
Now My Character is going to be
Rifleman 4/0/4/4
Ranger 3/0/4/0
CH 4/4/4/4 Master
I did give up my medic skills due to the fact that the group that I am always running around with has a Medic and takes good care of me so When they do fix Ranger and Riflem I will be back and will have to bid farewel to my CH
