Uhhh.. you're a ranger. Use your skills. Here's my typical routine:

1) Max range Healthshot
2) Chestshots until it gets approx 45m.
3) Supression fire
4) Phen Dart
5) Chestshots
6) DEAD

I can solo (no pets) two white-yellow mobs at a time using supression fire and phen darts on them. The micro managing takes some practice. Perhaps its different because I'm using a pistol but even for rifleman, you can supression fire/trap it and move back into optimal range.

You can do that with pistols because they fire like every 2 seconds. Quickest rifle I've seen fires about every 5 seconds. Trying to tack down 2 mobs with suppression would be very difficult for the slower fireing rifle. Remember, though rifle may be more accurate at extreme range, the pistol shoots just as far--so there is no real range benefit in using a rifle over a pistol.

You might could pull the above stunt with a carbine too, especially with the many AE effects in the carbine tree.. if your coordinated enough to arange their use.

For those with Medic skills, I dont think you need to invest in OChem. Stims made by doctors are much more effective and dont cost that much either. You can use stimB's at novice level. I can easily find a 30+ charge 350+ heal StimB. I only plan on going Medic 2,0,0,0.

Guys,

Since we're discussing it, here are my new plans for my character:

Master Scout

Master Ranger

Marksman - 4 0 0 0

Rifleman - 4 0 0 0

Brawler - 0 0 4 0

Swordsman 0 4 0 3

This should give me a bit of a mix of range and damage and let me not get my butt kicked in PvP if I get stuck in close.

I've had the best luck being a Rilfe Ranger.

My template.

Master scout, Master Ranger, Master Rifleman

Rifle Pistol Carbine Range Support

4|0| 0|0

3|3| 0| 3

2|2|0|2

1|1|0|1

(Novice Marksman)

Using this template leaves me with exactly 0 remaining points. It does mean that I'm pretty much boxed into being a Rifle Ranger, but it allows me to have some skill with a pistol, should I need some quick fast close quarters support.

Babuluga, Very Similar to my Ranger

Master Scout
Master Ranger
Creature Handler
2-2-2-2
Rifleman 1-1-1-1
Marksman 4-4-0-0

When I finally get some more creatures I want or train4 which ever comes first I'm gonna lose emp1 and get back those 5 sp and drop flushing shot. Final goal is to yield 2 cats out at once ch either 2-4-0-3 or 1-4-0-3 depends on how it goes

My template as it sits now:

Novice Marksman (0,4,0,0)

Master Scout

Master Ranger

Novice Pistoleer (0,0,4.4)

Novice Creature Handler (2,2,2,4)

Master pistol Stances and Grips and Master Pistol Special Abilities should make mestrong enough to take out anything in the game with some help. KD and stopping shot, woohoo!

I will use my Ranger abilities to lead groups on safari to adventure planets.

Ihope to use the CH to sell mounts and low-level pets, as well as round out the Ranger idea. I don't need Rancors or Gurrecks, just a mid level companion, or dare I say it a familiar, lol

don't know if anyone replied to your post but the way i get mad trapping xp is by making a few traps and unloading them all at once on an animal. I usually throw six at a time before I attack with my weapon. they have to be different traps keep in mind. for example, bagaraset will get you 101 a trap. Throw six and you already have 606 off of one. know what I mean?

My Template as of now is....

Master Ranger

Novice Bounty Hunter (0-0-0-2)

Novice Creature Handler (1-1-0-0)

Master Scout

Master Marksman

It works great for me, i have little problems when i solo, and im a big help in a group. I am dumping my CH skills since the patch, since they are little use to me now. All of my pets i used to use i can't so i figure i will dump it. Other then that, i love my template
