Hmm, given that I've decided to try Master Ranger/Master Squad Leader, I wonder if there is any chance of my getting this armor. I'd have the cert twice but I wouldn't be able to help directly in the fight.

Oh cool, this was something is was going to try myself, mainly when i was excited about the modular camp idea and being able to suport the group more.

Not being able to fight effectively is something im reluctant to try however, seen as though i have nobody to ask how much they liked it, my plans have been put on hold

Give me a shout once you give it a try, id apreciate it

Oh and if there was one armour set i want to be wearing whilst commanding my troops, it would be Mando

Me: /Form up troops

Bert: /God damn sir, you looks mightly fine in that armour!

Me: Eyes front soldier, theres no room for fratenising with officers in this squad........................ And thanks

Can you imagine seeing a SL buzzing around behind the lines of the opposing squad with his backpack on and full set mando lol?

As it is, I'm enjoying Squad Leader quite a bit so far. When I was a Master Rifleman, I almost always used to solo (I died less that way). Now I'm going along with a group of people and just having fun. I'll see what it's like when I drop more Rifleman to get more SL, though. I willdefinately be useful in a group but I probably won't be able to solo very much (I'm debating between taking some CH and some Medic--the Medic will be more useful when grouped but the CH will let me solo at least a little bit). And I'm hoping to get Mandalorian armor but I might have a bit of trouble killing the stuff. Hopefully I can convince my guild to help me get it, though. Hmm, might be fun if we all got it (currently, I think the guild seems to be getting 2 commandos and a BH on top of me so we could have a nice little Mandalorian squad And get some BH armor for the rest of them. I just wonder what the Wookie will do...).

I think the saying is, jetpacks all round, mando for thor

If i get any spare pieces ill be sure to throw them your way

Hmm, need a Squad Leader on the trip? Depending on when it is I might have a bit of trouble making it but I wouldn't mind joining in if your guild wouldn't mind and doesn't have a SL already. My guild will be trying but we are not big enough to even max out a full group so it will probably be a bit hard (although most of us are or have been combat masters and can get decent equipment).

Sounds good. Atm we our squad should consist of:

5x Master Riflemen

1x Master TK

1x Master DE (mando crafting)

1x Master Tailor (mando crafting)

1x Master Armoursmith (mando crafting)

Various others to be anounced when we get closer to the date

The problem will not specifically in crafting the things as im prety certain we should be able to defend the crafting room for the crafters, however the problem will arise in getting hold of the bounty hunter armour that is required to craft into the mando.

As i understand from a friend who has got an almost complete set on TC the basic run down is:

You loot the npcs for bounty hunter armour THEN take that armour and head to the crafting room with your crafters. From there you transform the BH armour into Mando.

There are alot more details so if you want ill try get hold of them as soon as i can and post them here.

I meant that trandos can't wear gloves or boots so mando armor won't be such a thrill for us.

From what I hear, you will almost certainly want a Doctor and/or a CM along as well. And probably combat stacked fighters. But I've only heard rumors from TC as well.

For crafting it, you are meant to need a (potentially full) set of the BH armor which is then somehow converted by the DE/Tailor/Armorsmith into Mandalorian.I haven't heard of anyone on TCactually transforming the BH into Mando armor soI'm guessing you won't find much more info than that. Check out this page (outside forum link, got it from the TC forums, and note that they had a group of 20 but only listed profs for 12) for a bit of info. It might be doable with the proper gear and if they adjust the spawn times (or you assume that lots of other groups will be there) but I expect things will not be that easy.

The TK is a master doc and 1 of the master riflemen is a master cm

I dont expect it to be easy, atleast i hope it isnt, however we all have 80-90% comp and get great buffs and will be suplied with great be foods before we go so i dont expect to be dying without a fight. It should be fun.

Yeah my friend has some mando, he is going for the full set i think. Ill be asking him in the next couple of days for more info so ill post it back here

Ah, sounds like it shouldn't be too bad then. I just hope I can survive without 90% composite (although I don't have any combat skills and so am somewhat less likely to draw agro).

I'd like to see non-humans try to get that mando helmet over their noggins! And I guess trando rangers won't have to buy a full set either.

The beauty of being a leezard is we don't have to pay full price for a suit of armor!
