Another perfect example of stealth stealing is disarming an opponent. In NPC missions, taking an NPC's weapon would be a great use of the stealing skill. In PvP, instead of taking the weapon, a successful steal would act like a disarm for several seconds.

Im glad I dropped ranger, since this revamp doesnt cater to any of the things i enjoyed about ranger. on the bright side, all those skills will be moving down to scout which will save me a lot of skillpoints. Whats funny is that more and more novice professions are sounding better and better. A template with master arisan and master scout now seems like a lot of fun, and actually really worthwhile.

I have always enjoyed reading posts on the ranger forum. Vey intelligent, mature and respectful. Sad to say, I think those days are coming to an end because of the ranger revamp. The new pvp skills that you guys are getting are going to attract a lot of power gamers like a fly to a bug zapper. Expect this forum to be littered with "UBAR template" threads, and "OMGWTFPWN3D a Jedi" threads.

Yep although i don't post much and haven't been playing to long, ranger was my first elite profession, the one i WANTED bad. The ranger forums were a big reason for that, and by no means am i against new people joining the ranks, what i am concerned about is the general spelling and grammar of some of these people its really quite scary 
Ranger revamp needs to include the following :
Test of Spelling and comprehension of the English language
Test of reasoning and common sense
Or better yet make them all use spell check 
Is there anyway we can maybe get them in there somewhere

What PvP skills are we getting exactly?
Stealth? Others have it.
Explosives? Others have it.
State attacks? other have it.
They arent PvP skills we are getting they are skills that work on PvNPC, PvDroid, PvP as well asPvCreature skills, something we never had before.

the ability to turn invisible is the single most powerful ability in any pvp online game. rifleman conceal shot is crap because you can barely move and have to crawl at a snail pace. force cloak is an amazing pve ability, and an awesome escape ability in pvp. now rangers will be able to have their own cloak and its gonna be huge.

Being invisible is NOT a PvP skill, its an avoidPvP skill. Unless your a Rifleman who CAN attack while invisible. Its not huge at all! It is warranted since we are teh camoflage masters.

Stealth is NOT a pvp tactic? Tell that to all the monk/shadowdancers playing neverwinter nights, or all the rogues in world of warcraft. they DOMINATE pvp

Hemmmm, apparently some one has not read the star wars novels. The rangers before the fall of the old republic were in fact black opp for the governing body and the Jedi order. Hunting was an aspect put in this game by dev’s who most likely never saw a SW movie, or read a book. The rangers were more like the modern version. A special forces unit. What’s been in this game was a park ranger, d&d lord of the rings, lets hug a tree and talk to the animals type of ranger that would never have been used by the Jedi, or respected by the galaxy.
What’s going on is what should have been to begin with. Bout time…
