Thread: Retired Master Rangers: What skills did you keep?
I always wonder what incentives SOE really have for achieving Mastery in Elite or Hybrid professions.In previous MMOPRGs the min/max templates were the way to go, but here the most effective and versatile templates are the ones that cook and mix skills from various professions.
A really good template would be and is a mix from various professions, but the only mastery you ever need is Master Marksman, and maybe Master Scout depending on BH/Ranger variations. What is or motivation besides personal ego to achieve mastery? The little few benefits you get from [non-artisan] Mastery from most Elite /Hybrid professsions are overshadowed by the high cost of precious skill points.
And players, who want the most from the game and do not care for roleplay or ranger ethos, will mix and match their templates for more effectiveness and punch.
Then again I wonder if unlocking the force sensitive slot involves having at least one Elite/Hybrid Mastery
