I think i will have to play around with Master Rifleman (if I ever get there) for a bit before i do anyhting rash...if I can kill things quickly enough (that they don't get me first), then I may be able to live without the TKA...but more adivce is appreciated.
You can always get it back in no time if you change your mind.

You should drop combat professions all together. Let go of your rage and pick up a nice crafting profession or two.
Then you won't have these conundrums.
Does Squad Leader count? I'm not good at getting a crafting profession (I hate grinding), I don't have the skill points for a medical profession, and I was tired of mindlessly killing stuff while solo. Now I mindlessly help other people kill stuff
calc, i think i have the same problem as you... once i finish what i've been working on, i want something new to work on... i've gone through a ton of professions, and loved every single one, but they have to goif i wantto go on tothe next one... so my suggestion is this: finish up rifleman and hang onto it until it getstoo hard to bear(almost every profession getsput on the shelfeventually, even if you still like it)... then, work on fencer or swordsman, and don't worry about which one to do first because you know eventually you'll have done them both...
i've got this same problem going on all the time, the only time i get a break from it is when i'm just starting out on my "new" profession... now that i've finished rifleman, i'm really itching to try BH- even though i know its not as "handy"...
The Ranger Correspondent isn't even master of the profession he/she is representing? This makes me sad. I respect your right to enjoy the game and play whatever you want ....but I think it says a lot about how much in need we are of a revamp. I mean, the guy that is speaking for the Ranger community only has 1 tree out of the whole profession. Don't get me wrong, Calc. I know you're at bat for us and I have no doubt you're doing your best. Ranger is a "spirit of character" more than anything right now ....it just is something of an irony.

And, honestly, can you really blame him for considering it?
I dont blame him at all.... I have enjoyed my time dabbling and trying out new professions. I thought about Master Doc and went about with Master Medic for a while but realized that just wasnt my taste. I tried out some melee.. fencer(love it) and Unarmed abit but found that I just didnt want to grind another combat professsion since I really do enjoy Master Rifleman. I helped my ingame wife and real life fiancee learn Master Dancer and Master Tailor and found those pretty interesting so I am picking up Master Chef to support my guild needs tho it doesnt quite "call" to me as Ranger did.
I havent quite found another profession that really suited me like Ranger but I couldnt justify the skillpoints wasted right now. I still feel best when my fiancee tells me she needs some wooly hides and so I run out to do some hunting. Solo resource harvesting really suits me nicely. I enjoy making a run to Talus to grab some leathery hides and what not. I will return one day once they fix it up a bit.
Thats kinda why I didnt mind dropping it either. When its fixed/upgraded I want to relearn the profession from the ground up again as I did before.
I certainly hope you don't drop the master ranger title. I feel our correspondent should be master to be able to represent the community as best as possible. Perhaps you can just start another character. There aren't limits on how many characters we can have are there?

You can only have one character per server unless you pay extra. And he will still have his Test Center character with Master Ranger (which is what is really important--all the live issues are well known already).
I understand why people feel I should keep my Master Rangerness, but as pointed out, I will always have access to a Master Ranger. I am keepiong my title on WH, at least for now. I am banking on being a Master Rifleman allowing me to avoid most melee combat, as people have pointed out.
