Try 2500, 1500.. if he's not within range there, head south and keep tracking for 1000m.

Also, the Game Guides forum has a complete thread on it.

If you're really having trouble finding it, mark down some of those waypoints on your planet map (or mark your own and space them out about 500m). Patrol the route of waypoints and you should find it eventually.

Thanks for the help!

Found him again at the exact same location as last time,
and the cave was piece of cake, so i guess its time for the
rest of the journey.

yeah i got it, the boar it was north of Mos Entha i believe. there was 5 of us, it spawned 4 times in the same area, feel bad for the poor lad who didnt get it

Actually, areatrack kept me from making a stupid mistake. I made a box of waypoints based on where the boar was sighted. I found the boar, using areatrack, 200m outside that box I made. I never would have seen it had I not tracked.
