hmm...well, after starting a new scout, I find myself looking for hills to run up to get away from agros, but i dont have TN. I find myself /ar and /mas all the time, but i cant do either
Yeah, what I like most about Ranger is actually a combination of many things. The skills, the community, the rareness, the talks with people out in the wild, comparing harvests ("I got 1k, yeah!" "Umm, yeah, I'm a Ranger, I got 5k, but I'm still getting more"), and just knowing that at anytime, I can disappear from the map
(All those days studying Talus CAN come in handy)

Of course half the time it's because they can't believe I'm insane enough to give up all the skill points. But the other half it's because they know of the Ranger culture, this board, and how most Rangers live comfortably within their skin. I think they're envious of that...Second is maskscent/camo. I love being able to pull a platoon of stormtroopers into a graul nest and then sit back, have a melon, and watch the resulting carnage.
right on ..only thing id add is tracking.. such an awesome profession its hard not to love everything about it

I have to admit that I had my reservation about being a Ranger because its a long process, and in the end, you don't gain much in combat usefulness. but after having unlocked tracking, and higher grade camps like the Field Base, I'm loving every minute of it. its probably the best career choice for someone like me who likes to fight, but also gives alot of weight to the "social" aspect of the game.
hunting and trading is a great way to make creds and interact with others. and let's face it, nobody can survive as well as we can (assuming buffs aren't involved). i love my Ranger.
Here's to making Master soon,
Lunga.

My favorite things of being a Ranger are:
4: I admit it I like the title. Not everyone is running around with it.
3: The camps - "Oh here let me set up a camp for you"............."Man this is nicer then my house"
2: /maskscent - I love being able to run all over and have the creatures be none the wiser
1: TERRAIN NEGOTIATION!!!! <--That has to be the best skill ever. Hunting in groups everyone running around on a swoop while mine is safely tucked away in my pocket (that brings up a good point where do they fit? and that couch I have been carring for a week now?).

One of the coolest things is setting up camp in a remote region on a remote planet, have some run across you, then them joining you and just having fun talking.
Ranger goes great with CH. Set up a camp, pull out 3 critters and just wait for ppl and enjoy their company.
How much all Rangers love their proff.

If you keep talking about all the good things and how awesome the profession is, Rangers
may never get a proper revamp. I do still think the limitations of the profession are much
more profound than the capabilities. Conceal and camo kits are not very effective when
compared to maskscent, especially considering the effort needed to put into making them.
Traps are ill-effective in mid to high level PvE, and are completely useless in PvP. A
natural Ranger harvests little more than a novice scout with a good droid and some food.
And Rangers have no place in the GCW or in space.
That aside I do like some things:
Areatrack is always fun to use right after you get off a shuttle, so you can immediately
chase down someone you were hoping to find.
The High Tech Field Base, which is still my favorite part of rangering. Although you really
haven't appreciated the camp until you see one from 200 meters away.
