Heh... dropping Pistoleer for Rifles.... you'd never be able to talk me into doing that.
The FS trees required to unlock Jedi are a pain in the stinker to fill up. If you have an elite combat profession, you cap at 900K points of XP for that skill, and earn 90K combat xp during that time. When you trade it in for FS xp, you get 30,000 FS for the weapon skill xp, and 30,000 for the Combat xp for a total of 60,000 xp. Each FS tree costs 1,225,000 FS xp to fill. That means XP capping you combat prof 21 times for one tree. Multiply that by six, and you have to cap out you combat prof 126 TIMES!!! And that is considered a 'quicker' way of doing it (not quite the fastest, but if you really want to know, go check the FS forum)
Far as the Jedi Stuff is concerned, Going half and half templated like that can become a major pain in the rear to maintain as a full time template (unless you're sure you won't want to add more Jedi skills in the future), but if you like it, then go for it. YOu do get your second character when you become Padawan, and he/she/it is created and played just like any other new character, which is why I'd recommend going full Jedi on the first, and making the second M Ranger.
