I always do my best to answer questions that have been asked a million times before with a friendly "go here for the faq, it has a lot of info, and here's the answer you were looking for specifically."

That is a good way to go about it . Giving a destination works a little better than 'search the forums.' I just wich people would start by looking in the Ranger Links thread .

If there's any group that should follow the old "teach a man to fish" adage, it should be Rangers, right? =)

If anyone goes to any forum, new profession or old, and does not bother to read the stickies, doesn't doa search for past posts, and asks some silly azzed question -

in the immortal words of Johnny Storm - FLAME ON

Ebe - you were 100% correct. How can anyone become a Ranger and not know where the Peko Albs hide? Yeah, tough to find, took me all of 5 minutes the first time I went looking.

As bad as the clown on the scout boards asking if there was a command to have a compass on screen. Holy freaking morons Batman - did we not read the manual??

At least our flames are shrouded in inside jokes and references. They ain't that bad, considering the nuclear holocausts I have seen on other boards.

JB

and what's this about Calc being gone?? If he is back, did he bring presents ?? If not, he best correct that situation.

You might be surprised how rare the Albatross can be. I have spent days looking without finding any. It is one of the few creatures in this game that I know about but haven't seen. I have looked for it and I know where to look but I have yet to run into one.

Wow Nemo really? My group took down 5-6 in like a two week period. We were harvesting Naboo avian out of Kadaara, and incountered one every couple of days. There are a couple of rare "uber" spawns I have heard about, but not seen yet. And of course the ellusive Gorax.

Yep, I have not been able to find an Albatross (and not for lack of trying). The only other spawn I have heard of but not seen (at least in its new form) is the Gorax. I have spent manydays looking for both of those with no luck. I have travelled all over Naboo and Endor (both on foot and on bike) without any sightings (and I spent quite a bit of time in the "known" spawn areas). I have been known to kill 5-6 krayt spawns in a night (I've killed them in almost every region on Tatooine, not just the graveyard) but somehow these two targets evade me. I blame the Albatross on the cities (on Eclipse, Naboo has a lot of cities with loads of vendors and junk) and the Gorax on just being a really rare spawn. Oh well.

All is forgiven...just don't let it happen again! Just kidding...it isn't a big deal, I just thought things have been a little rough over here lately. People do have a right to ask questions you know, and it does suckl when you hear the same questions over and over, but it really isn't that easy to search for info on the forums, so it is easy to not be up to speed.

I really like how everyone here tries to hold themselves to a higher standard. Sometimes we lose control a little, but overall compared to other boards we have arguably one of the most civilized board presences in here. Ironic since we're the people who spend all our time wandering in the wilderness

I'll do my best to hold myself to that higher standard no matter which board I happen to be posting in. Gotta make that "Master Ranger" in my sig mean something to everyone who don't understand what we stand for.

Look, there are always gonna be noobs, the game wouldn't survive without 'em.

So when they make thier first foray into the discussion groups thier first post will most likely have "flame me" written all over it.

A suggestion: Look at what it says under his name, if it says "new member", cut him some slack.

Just my 2 credits worth of advice.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

I have to be honest that I too have spent time trying to find them with no luck. I've tired all of the spots posted on the boards. I guess I just need to keep trying.
